Another independent project is getting closer and closer to its audience. It's about hand-to-hand comedy "Paper Tigers" director Quoc Bao Tran, information about which we we are tracking since 2017.

The project is interesting to us because of the big names from independent action cinema who are attracted to "Tigers".

Let us remember that the film is about three friends who, in their youth, seriously practiced martial arts under the guidance of a sensei (Roger Yuan), who replaced the boys’ father. Years have passed and now the three friends are no longer young people struggling with life's problems. However, the sensei's murder brings a man going through a divorce, an overweight insurance agent and a down-on-his-luck MMA trainer back together to find out who did it and get revenge.

The main roles in the film were played by Alan Yoon (TV series "Rebirth"), Michael Shannon Jenkins ("Undisputed 3") and Ron Yuan (Mulan series). The roles of the young main characters went to famous stuntmen Yoshi Sudarso ("Cowboys") Peter Sudarso ("Power Rangers") and Gui DaSilve (“On the ropes”) The rest of the caste includes: Roger Yuan ("Mulan") Matthew Page ("Shot into the Void") Mark Poletti ("Made in Chinatown") Keiran Tamondong (TV series "Warrior") Yuji Okumoto (“Nemesis”) and others.

Let us remind you that the fight choreography in the film is done by the talented Ken Quitugua ("Unlucky Stars", "The Contender") with his stunt team ZeroGravity Stunts.

Premiere "Paper Tigers" has already taken place, but at the film festival Fantasy fabric. The creators took their project seriously and want to take it to various film festivals before its official release. For example, the screening will take place at the 43rd Asian American Film Festival, which will last from October 1 to October 11, 2020. Bao Tran posted an excerpt from the film online, in which the main characters encounter young kung fu hooligans, played by stuntmen Andy Le, Brian Le и Philip Dun.

Well... It’s unlikely to reach the mass audience "Paper Tigers" will arrive this year, but next year we really hope to see this film.
