Hong Kong actor Simon YamAs Andy Lau in the mid-80s and early 90s he was considered an action star, later revealing more subtle acting facets. Today, Yam is a classic of Chinese cinema, having received numerous awards for his roles.

However, we will soon be able to see the 68-year-old acclaimed actor in a pure action role in an action film called "Return" (The Comeback) by debutant director Huo Huiqiang.

There is little information about the plot of the film, we only know that the main theme of the action film will be the confrontation between a retired assassin and a younger killer who seeks revenge on his teacher for the loss of loved ones.

Main adversary Simon Yam (“Bullet in the Head”, “Miracles”, “Ip Man”) will become Andy He (“True Legend”, “Blind War”, Kung Fu Stallion”), they are accompanied by Jiang Peiyao ("Are You Lonely Tonight?"), a legend of Chinese hand-to-hand action films Yuen Wa (“Kung Fu Showdown”) and others.

"Return" became an exclusive film for the Chinese streaming platform iQI, on which he came out July 21, 2023.


A full-fledged trailer has appeared for a Japanese action comedy film called "Man G" (G-Men).

The film is based on a manga by Toshio Ozawa, and in the director's chair is Toichiro Ruto, which may be familiar to visitors to our site as an action comedy "Cruel Action" (2022) starring Kanna Hashimoto.

Synopsis: Shota Kadomatsu is a troubled student. He went on a few dates with girls, but they never turned into relationships. Shouta decides to transfer to the new boys' high school since there are four different girls' schools nearby. The hero is enjoying his new school, but still struggles to find a girlfriend. That's because he was classified as Class G, reserved for idiots, otakus, and delinquents. Therefore, it is not surprising that there are always clashes within the class.

Played the main role in the film Utah Kishi (“Fake Love”), the rest of the ensemble is filled with: Ryo Ryusei ("Maxman Brothers") Shintaro Morimoto (series “Six Notes”), Kengo Cora (“Staying in the Twilight”) and other actors.

The film opens in Japan on 25 August 2023 year.

The film was directed by Aril Abu Bakar - formerly a stuntman, and now a filmmaker, familiar to you from hand-to-hand action films "Warriors of Silat: The Act of Death" (2021)

Synopsis: Waleed lives a simple life in a small town, devoting his time to teaching underprivileged children and repairing electrical appliances for the villagers. One day, he notices a young girl, Aisha, hanging around his class and invites her to join. The bond between teacher and student grows stronger until it is destroyed by a local crime syndicate who kidnap Aisha and other children. When Walid begins investigating Aisha's disappearance, he realizes that the local police are in the syndicate's pocket and takes matters into his own hands to bring Aisha and her friends back before they are sold.

The main role was played by a martial artist and actor Megat Sharizal (TV series “Marco Polo”), the remaining roles are played by the following actors: Namron ("Warriors of Silat"), Fad Anuar ("Warriors of Silat"), Yusran Hashin ("Until Death: Azalea's Wrath") Aliff Yasraf (“Minamoto”) and others.
