The trailer for the upcoming zombie action movie has appeared online "Driver" Thai director Vicha Kaosayanada, who made his name with niche action films like "Tekken 2" (204) and "Zero Tolerance" (2015)
We have already wrote about this project, which should become for the cult actor of action cinema Mark Dacascos ("Drive", "Brotherhood of the Wolf", "John Wick 3") not only a film where he played the main role for a long time (the last such was an action film "Operation Retaliation" 2014), but also a truly family film. After all, together with Mark in "Driver" his wife plays Julie Condra ("The Crying Killer") and daughter Noelani Dacascos ("Oh, Lucy!").
The plot tells the story of a family living peacefully in a camp of “survivors” - this is the name given to the remnants of humanity that were not consumed by some plague of the new millennium. But this plague does not kill, but turns people into bloodthirsty zombies. The family's life changes dramatically after a massive explosion opens the way for the undead to enter the camp. And now the head of the family must remember his past life, in which he worked as a hired killer to protect his wife and daughter from a zombie invasion.
Since the film was not very well financed, the rest of the roles are cast only by little-known Thai actors. We can only mention the stuntmen Charlie Rydpokanona ("Time does not wait") and Brahima Achabbake (“Undisputed 4”), who not only played in the film, but also directed the action.
It’s interesting that Mark Dacascos has already encountered the living dead in a science-fiction action film during his career. "I am a warrior" (I am Omega) 2007. Then the film failed, and Mark’s fans criticized him for this movie for a long time. Let's see what fate awaits Kaosayanada's film.
Release "Driver" on DVD and Video-on-Demand services is assigned to November 26 2019 years.
The trailer for the film has arrived with another aged action star of the 80s and 90s. This is about Dolph Lundgren (franchise "Universal Soldier", "The Expendables"). However, in the new film, old Dolph has a supporting role. But first things first.
An action movie with a pretentious title "Acceleration" (Acceleration) is the brainchild of two directors: Michael Melino ("Dracul") and Daniela Zirilli (“Locked Up”, “The Parcel”, “Time Doesn’t Wait”). The script for the film was written by Melino.
The story of this film is as old as time. Lundgren plays "Acceleration" mafia boss Vladik Zorich, who really does not want his best operative Rona to retire. To prove his seriousness, Vladik kidnaps Rona's son and forces her to destroy her competitors in the criminal business. However, motherly love pushes Rona to a risky plan.
Played the main role in the film Natalia Bern (“The Expendables 3”), and the rest of the cast, besides Dolph, is filled with entirely familiar names: Sean Patrick Flanery ("The Boondock Saints") Chuck Lidell ("Jack Stone") Quinton Jackson ("A-Team"), Danny Trejo (duology "Mochete"), Ng Meiling (“Lady Bloody Fight”) and others.
Traditionally, Lundgren doubles as a martial arts practitioner and stuntman Tony Messenger.
Available for limited rental and VoD services "Acceleration" will leave already 8 November, and on DVD and Blu-ray the film should appear in December 2019 years.
Let's finish today's selection with a historical action film from Great Britain "Warrior Queen of Jhansi" (The Warrior Queen Of Jhansi).
The film is the producer's directorial debut. Swati Bise (“The Man Who Knew Infinity”), who is also one of the screenwriters of the project.
The film is a British adaptation of the true story of India's national heroine, Lakshmi Bai, the young ruler of the princely state of Jhansi, who became one of the leaders of the popular uprising of 1857-1859. Having joined the rebels, Lakshmi fought against the brutal colonial policies of Great Britain.
Interestingly, this year Bollywood released an expensive historical epic "Manikarnika: Queen of Jhansi", which essentially tells the same story. The film may be of interest to visitors to our site because, according to legend, Lakshmi Bai was a master of sword fighting and had no equal in this.
Played the main role in the film Davika Bise (TV series "Elementary"), and her digging consists of: Rupert Everett ("Dangerous ties"), Jodhi May ("Memories of a Loser") Derek Jacobi ("Titanic"), Umar Malik (“Call the Midwife”) and other actors.
"Warrior Queen of Jhansi" will go into limited release November 15 2019 years.
