In our favorite genre, to which our site is dedicated, it often happens that interesting projects are either shelved or do not “live” until the moment of their release. And we are always glad when such films “emerge” from the past in order to still reach the viewer.
This project turned out to be a hand-to-hand dramatic action film called "In sight" (Insight) about which we wrote as early as 2016. Let us remind you that the film is being created by Indonesian-American martial artists, who are also brother and sister Levi Zheng и Ken Zheng. They already have a film in their portfolio "Dangerous Brush" (2014), where Levy directed and Zheng had the lead role and wrote the screenplay. Actually, in the case of the new film, the tandem of brother and sister was repeated.
Synopsis: Jian was a former government counter-terrorism agent, but has long been disillusioned with the law enforcement system. Today, he is a warrior of justice who, using his gift of clairvoyance, brings the most vile people in the world to justice. However, Jiang has to go to Los Angeles, where his brother allegedly died by suicide. Together with local police detectives, the guy decides to conduct his own investigation, finding a mysterious high-tech criminal.
In the acting ensemble To Ken Zheng (“Bali: Rhythms of Paradise”) the company consisted of: Madeline Zima (TV series "Californication"), Tony Todd (Candyman franchise) Keith David (“The Thing”), as well as a brown belt in jiu-jitsu Sean Patrick Flannery (“Stranger”, “Total Knockdown”, “Born of a Champion”).
It is curious that the role of the main villain was originally supposed to be played by an Indonesian silat master and actor Yayan Ruhian (“Raid 1-2”, “John Wick 3”), he was also planned to direct the fight choreography in the film. However, for some reason, Rukhyan dropped out of the project. The main negative role went to Flanery, and the action in the action film was handled by a martial artist, stuntman and director Travis Wong, whose career in Hollywood began already in 2009 (“The Green Hornet”, “Wolverine: The Immortal”, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”, “The Jungle Book”). One of the choreographers in the film is an excellent movie fighter from the 90s. Jeff Pruitt.
North America's Gravitas Ventures is set to release "In sight" on all digital platforms 12 March 2021 year.
French division of the streaming giant Netflix made a cool action movie called "Hourly" (Sentinelle) with Ukrainian actress Olga Kurylenko starring.
A screenwriter and director were assigned to the project Julien Leclerc, known for his dark thrillers like "Doll" (2007) "Raiders" (2015) and "Lucas" (2018) with ZhKVD in the title role.
Synopsis: A female soldier named Clara has returned from the war zone to a peaceful life. At her current job, where she simply patrols the streets of a peaceful city, she has nowhere to apply her deadly skills. However, when a certain scumbag hurts her sister and is going to go unpunished thanks to her father’s connections, the main character decides to administer justice on her own.
Besides Olga Kurylenko (“Oblivion”, “Courier”), the film featured: Marilyn Lima ("Mermaid in Paris") Michelle Nabokoff ("Ten percent"), Martin Swaby (“Mr. Nobody”) and other actors.

Another well-known online platform is Amazon Prime prepared her own action movie, albeit without a strong female character. In the action movie called "Without pity" (Without Remorse) the central role was played by the charismatic Michael B. Jordan.
In the director's chair of the action film was the Italian Stefano Sollima, known for swashbuckling action "Assassin 2. Against everyone" (2018) starring Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin. The plot is based on the material of the cult American writer, a prominent representative of the techno-thriller Tom Clancy.
Synopsis: John Kelly more than once went on deadly business trips to the Vietnamese jungle, but his main enemy turned out to be very close, on the streets of his native American cities. A Navy SEAL, having lost and regained his love, is ready to defend it with all available means, even in the face of a much more powerful and numerous enemy - the drug mafia. And Kelly begins his war without any hope of victory.
In the acting ensemble, except Michael B. Jordan (dulogy “Creed”, “Black Panther”) are: Guy Pearce ("Iron Man 3"), Todd Lasance (series “Spartacus: Blood and Sand”), Jamie Bell ("Donnybrook") Jodie Turner-Smith (TV series “True Blood”) and others.
Talented guys from Real Deal Action. Namely, Kan Aydin was responsible for fight choreography, Cha-Li Yoon led the stunt team, and Von Zhang was a stunt performer.
