Legendary choreographer of Chinese fight cinema Yuen Woo-ping, who will turn 30 on November 73, doesn’t even think about stopping work. Last year he directed a film for the American cable network Netflix "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny", and in the next one fans are expecting a spin-off hit from him and Max Zhang "Ip Man 3D" called "Chun Tin-Chi". In 2017, we are expecting a project by the maestro called "Thousand Faces of Dunjia" (The Thousand Faces of Dunjia).

Interestingly, the film’s producer is an equally venerable film maker from the Middle Kingdom. Tsui Hark. He also wrote the script, based on the 1982 film by Yuen Woo-ping himself. "Wonderful Fighters" starring Chor Yuen and Leung Ka-yan.

Synopsis: The story takes place during the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1126 AD), when a group of warriors must come together to fight back the Great Cosmic Evil and protect humanity from it.

Woo-ping himself stated that the remake is an attempt to tell an old story, but in a modern way, turning the restless comedy film of 1982 into a modern and cool wuxia epic.

Young actors took part in Woo-ping's new film: Aarif Lee (“Kung Fu Yoga”), No no ("Wukong") Da Peng (“I am not Madame Bovary”), Wu Bai (“Mrs. Kay”) and others.

It remains to be seen whether "Thousand Faces of Dunjia" the same film that announced legendary choreographer last year, or something related to another mysterious Woo-ping project "The Invisible Guardian", whose release is scheduled for 2018? Well, we think we’ll wait for answers later, but for now we offer you the trailer for “A Thousand Faces” for viewing.

The film is released in China 15 декабря 2017 года.

The first trailer for the upcoming wuxia film has appeared online "The Monkey King: Kingdom of Women", which is the third film in the franchise from the director China Pou-Soi (“Stars of Destiny 2”), which launched it in 2014.

Jackie Chan in the Five Against a Bullet project and Aaron Kwok in The Monkey King 3 1

We have already wrote about this film, which is set to become one of China's most expensive costume films. Despite the fact that the folklore character Sun Wukong has become a frequent presence on big screens and television in recent years (this year alone, China has seen two major projects about the adventures of this hero: "Wukong" и "Journey to the West: Demons"), new "The Monkey King" serious box office receipts are expected and predicted for it.

The film continues the storyline of the monk Tang Seng, who continues his journey to the West with a trio of demons, the most dangerous of which is Sun Wukong. This time their path lies through the country of women called Xi Lian. Of course, getting through it is not so easy, and new adventures await travelers.

The role of the Monkey King will again be played on screen Aaron Kwok, who played Wukong in the second film of the franchise (in the first part, the image of Wukong embodied Donnie Yen). He also returned to the role of a wandering monk. William Fan (“The Old Bodyguard”), and the roles of demons were again played Xiao Shenyang ("Chinatown Detective") and Lo Chun-Khim ("Young and Dangerous: Reboot"). But the new cast also includes beautiful Chinese actresses: Zhao Liying (TV series “The Legend of Zu”), Lin Chilin (“And the monk came down from the mountains”), Gigi Leung (“The Monkey King”) and others.

"The Monkey King: Kingdom of Women" will be released in theaters 16 February 2018 year. In the meantime, we offer you to watch the humorous first trailer of the wuxia film.

The second trailer for the film “The Monkey King: Kingdom of Women” has appeared online.

The director of the film is Sanjay Leela Bhansali (“Ram and Lita”, “Bajirao and Mastani”), who also took on the duties of producer, screenwriter and composer of the film.

The story of the film is based on a famous 14th-century poem in India, which tells the story of the ancient ruler Revan and his wife, the legendary queen Rani Padmini, whom the military leader Alauddin Khilji decided to conquer. To do this, Alauddin besieges the impregnable city of Chittor.

The main role of the beautiful queen was played by an international star - actress Deepika Padukone (“Legend”, “XXx: World Domination”). She is accompanied by other famous actors from India: Ranveer Singh ("Bajirao and Mastani"), Shahid Kapoor ("Poster Hero") Aditi Rao Hydari (“Pretty Woman”) and others.

Film "Padmavati" (in another translation - “Like a lotus”) will have a worldwide distribution by the company Paramount Pictures. Judging by the trailer, we are waiting for a beautiful historical canvas in the spirit of the recent "Buhabali: The Completion".

The start of the film's rental is scheduled for 1 декабря 2017 года.

The villain didn't talk about it, Banderas read it in the newspaper in the killer's house.

      Dave,
The newspapers say nothing about the further fate of the killer, one gets the impression. that the cop immediately went to take revenge on the lawyer’s family and at the same time allowed his daughter’s killer to walk free.

Went to see "Vow of Silence". The plot is similar to "Ninja 2", the main character takes revenge for his murdered wife and child, but there is a difference.

Banderas' character follows Stoic philosophy and takes a vow of silence. Therefore, he is silent for most of the film, but if we had not yet heard his thoughts in the form of a voice-over, it would have been great. This idea, coupled with the quotation from Marcus Aurelius, gives some depth to the film and makes the character interesting. The drama with the hero’s suffering works, you empathize with him.

Out of the jambs, one time the hero comes to the aid of a woman who was simply passing by. And the detective part also let us down, throughout the entire film not a single hint is given as to who the villain is. Therefore, the intrigue looks somewhat strained.

The fights are staged decently, as always with Florentine, but nothing special, except perhaps the idea of using hearing in battle. I would like to note that Banderas looks good as a movie fighter, definitely better than Keanu Reeves.

      Anton Clemens,
I forgot to add that the antagonist’s motivation is delusional and spoils the impression of the film, practically ruining it.

Unexpectedly, they turned Banderas into a very good movie actor, I didn’t expect this, but I don’t agree about the villain’s delusional motive, Banderas’ hero defended the guilty man and he was released instead of prison and killed the villain’s family, if I’m not mistaken, that’s why he took revenge on Banderas’ hero , another thing is that a person must be a monster in order to lose a woman and a child even because of revenge.

Dave: Unexpectedly, they turned Banderas into a very good movie fighter, I didn’t expect this

Apparently, experience in past films such as Zorro and Hit the Dice is taking its toll.

I don't remember the villain saying anything about the fate of his family's murderer. It would be understandable if he first took revenge on the murderer, and then on the lawyer, like he’s no better than him. It would be even better if the villain wanted to take revenge on the killer, but did not have time, he died earlier and therefore he transfers his hatred to the lawyer.
