This idea, coupled with the quotation from Marcus Aurelius, gives some depth to the film and makes the character interesting. The drama with the hero’s suffering works, you empathize with him.
Out of the jambs, one time the hero comes to the aid of a woman who was simply passing by. And the detective part also let us down, throughout the entire film not a single hint is given as to who the villain is. Therefore, the intrigue looks somewhat strained.
The fights are staged decently, as always with Florentine, but nothing special, except perhaps the idea of using hearing in battle. I would like to note that Banderas looks good as a movie fighter, definitely better than Keanu Reeves.

I forgot to add that the antagonist’s motivation is delusional and spoils the impression of the film, practically ruining it.
Unexpectedly, they turned Banderas into a very good movie actor, I didn’t expect this, but I don’t agree about the villain’s delusional motive, Banderas’ hero defended the guilty man and he was released instead of prison and killed the villain’s family, if I’m not mistaken, that’s why he took revenge on Banderas’ hero , another thing is that a person must be a monster in order to lose a woman and a child even because of revenge.

I don't remember the villain saying anything about the fate of his family's murderer. It would be understandable if he first took revenge on the murderer, and then on the lawyer, like he’s no better than him. It would be even better if the villain wanted to take revenge on the killer, but did not have time, he died earlier and therefore he transfers his hatred to the lawyer.
