Recall "Septet" is a Hong Kong unfinished project that could not find its way to a mass audience for more than four years. The main feature of the anthology is the fact that each of the eight episodes of the film was shot by a famous Chinese director: Ann Hui (“Stuntwoman”), Patrick Tam ("Love Massacre") Johnny To (Election trilogy), Tsui Hark (Once Upon a Time in China franchise) Sammo Hung ("Old Bodyguard") Yuen Woo-Ping ("Drunken Master") and died in 2018 Ringo Lam (“Dragon Twins”), who initially oversaw the project.

The anthology will tell the stories of different people in different decades, from the 50s to the present. All these stories will take place in Hong Kong.

As many thought, the stories filmed Sammo Hoon и Yuen Woo-Ping are directly related to martial arts.

The roles of “Septet” were entirely stars: Simon Yam ("Bullet in the Head") Yuen Wa ("Eastern Condors") Timmy Hungg ("New Police Story"), Francis Ng ("Warriors' Gate") Lam Suet (“Showdown in the style of kung fu”), Chun Tat-Ming ("The Accidental Spy") Lawrence Lau ("Thunder Cops") Emotion Chun (“Chasing the Dream”) and Sir Ma (“Ip Man: Birth of a Legend”).

The film is scheduled to premiere at the 25th Busan International Film Festival. When "Septet" will appear in theaters – it is still unknown.
