Debut director Ambrose Kwok released a hand-to-hand thriller with elements of MMA drama called "Liberated" (Unleashed).

The film is about a former boxer who plunges into the world of underground fights for money in order to get even with his coach's rival, who died in a not very fair fight.

The main roles in the film were played by debutants Sun Zhenfeng и Zheng Ziping. The rest of the caste includes: Venus Wong ("King of Mahjong") Sam Lee ("Wild City") Kevin Lee (“From Vegas to Macau”) and a classic of Chinese hand-to-hand cinema Ken Lo (“Drunk Master 2”, “Special Assignment”), who recently turned 60 years old.

The film appeared on the IQIYI platform April 18 2020 years.

But in the land of the rising sun, another film about school gang violence is being prepared for release. We've seen enough of them already, e.g. "Demakin".

The new film is called “Today I’ll start! Movie" (From Today, It's My Turn!), which is a continuation of the 2018 series and at the same time an adaptation of the author's comics Hiroyuki Nishimori 1988. The author of the series is in the director's chair Yuichi Fukuda, who is known for his other works: duology "Perverted Mask" (2013, 2016), duology "Gintama" (2017, 2018) and "50 First Dates" (2018)

Synopsis: 1980s. High school student Takashi Mitsuhashi is transferred to another school, where he immediately attracts the wrath of the local gopniks. The guy teams up with a fellow outcast newcomer named Shinji Ito, and the couple is forced every day to defend themselves from aggressive punks, while not forgetting to look after the girls.

The main roles in the film are given to Kenta Kaku (“The Crash of Artificial Intelligence”) and Kentaro Ito (“Demakin”) They are accompanied by: Nana Seino ("Ideal Revolution"), Kanna Hashimoto ("Kingdom"), Taiga Nakano (“10 years in Japan”), Naboyuki Suzuki (“Tokyo Ghoul S”) and other actors.

The film's online release is scheduled for July 17 2020 year.
