South Korean stuntman and action film actor Bruce Khan Over the years, I managed to work on the same set with the legends of hand-to-hand action films: Jackie Chan, Sammo Hoon и Jet Li. The time has come for a real solo project called "Avenger" (Revenger).
Khan has long dreamed of making quality action films in South Korea, but with his previous solo project Killing of Game somehow it didn’t work out. Now Khan is working with a debutant director Lee Seung-won preparing a large-scale project.
The simple plot will unfold around a middle-aged former murderer who intends to avenge the death of his family at all costs. But to do this, he will have to penetrate a strictly guarded prison on a remote island, where once a year the prison owners conduct a large-scale survival game among the prisoners.
Besides Bruce Khan (“The Wedding Mask”), the film featured: Park Hee-soon ("Witch"), Kim In-gwon ("Monstrum"), beauty Yoon Ji-seo ("Oldboy"), American TJ Storm (“Boone: Bounty Hungter”) and other actors.
The premiere of the action film at home is scheduled for 6 декабря 2018 года.
We continue today's selection with a trailer for another South Korean project called "Hooligan" (Bully).
The film was directed by a debutant Song Jae-duk, who previously worked exclusively on TV series. The film's style and plot are reminiscent of typical Japanese films about showdowns between young street gangs a la "Bug-Eyed Goldfish" (2017)
The boy Tae-pon was a famous bully and fighter in middle school, but when he entered high school he was forced to leave street fights and focus on his studies. However, a young bandit, San-min, is transferred to his 12th grade and quickly puts together his own “team” in the class. Tae-pon manages to be recruited into the gang only when young people carry out “raids” on grown men who buy schoolgirls for money. However, Sang-min goes too far and now Tae-pon is forced to confront his entire class.
The main roles in the film were played by young actors Lee Rin ("I saw the devil") and Moon Ji-hoo.
The film, which is more of a teen comedy in genre, will be released November 29 2018 years. And we will most likely see it in 2019.
The last in today's trio of trailers is the Chinese remake of the 2015 South Korean hit. "Veteran" director Ryu Seung-wan. The Chinese version is called The Big Shot (Big Shot), but Russian localizers have already given the action movie a name "Cool man".
At the director's helm of the remake is Wu Bai, whose track record includes only a comedy melodrama "Old Cinderella" starring Zhang Jingchu.
The plot of the film follows an experienced police detective (played in the original by Hwang Jong-min), who is throwing all his strength into putting the young lawless man behind bars (in the original - Yoo Ah-in), but an ordinary case becomes a real test for the detective, since the boy is the heir to a large company with good connections.
The main roles in the remake went to Wang Qianyuan (duology "Crossing"), Bao Beieru ("Fat Buddies") and Jack Kao ("Shinjuku Incident").
"Cool man" opens in Chinese box office 21 декабря 2018 года. The original was famous for its cool scenes of chases, shootouts and hand-to-hand battles. Let's see what the Chinese equivalent will offer.
