Despite the fact that Japanese cinema seemed to have already said everything in the subgenre of youth action films about school bullies confronting each other, South Korean filmmakers continue to actively shoot in this direction.

The new film of this subgenre is called "Legendary Fighter" (A Legendary Fighter) and is the brainchild of the writer and director Bae Hyo-min (“Punchy Girls”).

Synopsis: Sang-gu is a street fighter and is constantly looking for an opponent who can defeat him. But so far such a fighter has not been found. Meanwhile, his friend Moon-jae stands up for his mother, which unleashes a real war against the local youth gang Minguk. Because of this, both boys are sent to Sholan High, where the annual Road FC mixed martial arts championship is held. There young people must show what they are worth.

The main roles in the film went to young actors Lee Se-ho ("Shepherds") Hwang Joon-ha ("My Grandma Zhang Gyom") Lee Yo-han (“After School 2”) and others.

"Legendary Fighter", which is presented as an action-comedy in genre, was released 16 June 2020 year.

Singer and actor Oh Ji-ho He is known in Korea primarily as a star of comedies and soap operas, but since 2010 his roles have become more diverse. This happened because of the historical series "Slave Hungters", for which Jin-ho had to train for action scenes. Since then, Jin-ho has become very interested in martial arts and actively practices various fighting styles to this day. Of course, this fact was reflected in his film career, allowing him to appear as an on-screen fighter in various TV series and films, including a supporting role in the thriller "High heels" (2014) and hand-to-hand film "Competition", where Ji-ho played the main villain.

New film Oh Ji-ho bears the name "A prisoner" (The Prisoner) and marks his directorial debut Yana Gir-yona, who had previously been exclusively involved in directing action and stunts in films such as "Musa" (2001) "Arahan" (2004) "City of Violence" (2004) "Wind Warrior" (2004) "Fatal Encounter" (2014) "King of Fighters" (2020) and others.

The main character is a police detective who ends up in prison and becomes involved in local underground fighting in order to find and take revenge on the man who killed his fiancee.

Besides Oh Jin-ho, the film featured: Cho Un (“38th parallel”), Lee Jae-yong (duology “Steel Rain”), Jeong Chan (TV series "Defend the King") So Bom-shik ("Villain") Julian Kahn (TV series "High Kick"), famous bodybuilder Ha Jae-yeon nicknamed “Korean Hulk” and others.

Network release "Prisoner" assigned to July 23, 2020.

We want to finish the selection with a comedy called "OK! Madam" (Ok! Madam) screenwriter and director Lee Cheol-ha, who has previously worked in various genres including romantic comedies, social dramas and horror films.

The plot of the film tells the story of an unremarkable family in which the wife bakes twisted breadsticks, the husband repairs computers, and the little daughter goes to school. The family dreams of a vacation and one day miraculously wins a vacation to Hawaii in the lottery. But on the way to the treasured beach and cocktails, terrorists led by Chol-sung stand in the way. The plane's passengers become hostages, but nothing can stop the main characters from getting to Hawaii.

Starring in the film: Om Jom-hwa ("Installation"), Park Sung-woon ("High heels"), Lee Sang-yoon (TV series "VIP"), Bae Jung-nam ("Master"), Lee Sun-bin (“Breakthrough”) and others.

Premiere of the action comedy "OK! Madam" assigned to 18 August 2020 year.

“Legendary Fighter” doesn’t look like much, but it does look promising.
“Prisoner” is doubtful, maybe yes, maybe no.
But I definitely want to watch Madama!

By the way, has the second “Train to Busan” been released? It's also a must.
By the way 2, I came across the “Big Match” of 14. I didn’t see if anything was written about him here, but judging by the excerpt that I saw, the film is interesting and driving. I just haven't had time to watch it in full yet.
