The plot of the film will tell the story of a young blacksmith Gosuke in the setting of 16th century Japan. Gosuke decides to give up his job as a master gunsmith and join the ranks of Oda Nabunaga's army. The following actors starred in the film: Shun Sugata ("The Last Samurai"), Anna Isiy ("If cats disappear all over the world"), Kosuke Toyohara (“Zatoichi: The Last”) and others.

The next film we want to talk about is a film adaptation of a famous writer in Japan Shiba Ryotaro, who specialized in historical novels. We are talking about a samurai drama called "Battle of Sekigahara" (Sekigahara).

The director of the film is a classic of Japanese cinema Masato Harada, who has such films as "Gunhead: Robot War" (1989) "Les Misérables" (1997) "Suicide Song" (2001) "The Emperor in August" (2015) and others.

The film will focus on one of the most significant battles in Japanese history, which took place on October 21, 1600. A fight broke out between Tokugawa Ieyasu's Eastern Alliance and the Western Army of the heirs of the Toyotomi clan, deciding the fate of the new united Japan. As usual, the plot will unfold around several historical figures located within military events.

Famous Japanese actors starred in the film: Koji Yakusho ("Harakiri 3D"), Junichi Okada (Library Warriors franchise) Kasumi Arimura (TV series "Predator"), Ken Yamamura (“Wolverine: Immortal”) and others.

“The Battle of Sekigahara” is released in Japan 26 August 2017 year. In the meantime, we invite you to enjoy the film's trailer.
