The South Korean film industry continues to delight fans of good action with new projects. We will talk about several of them in this collection.
The first project is called "Goblin" (The Goblin) and is the brainchild of the director Kim Hee-sung, which was previously noted only for the comedy series "Flatterer!" (2015)
The film is about a notorious gangster who takes responsibility for the murder of his own boss at the hands of another gang member. After leaving, the hero learns that someone is using his nickname Goblin and now he faces the kidnappers of his daughter in a desperate attempt to cover up a deadly incident ten years ago.
The main roles in the film went to the stars of South Korean cinema. Cho Dong-hyuk ("Bad Boys: Reign of Chaos") and Li Wang ("Boys do not Cry").
The film premiered at the Busan International Film Festival last year - then "Goblin" received many positive reviews. The film became available to the general public from 25 May 2022 years.
Another crime thriller written by the actor Han Jong-hoonfor which the film "Hidden" (Hidden) is a feature-length debut.
Synopsis: The main character, a member of the police drug squad, goes undercover into the heart of a large criminal organization to track down the main boss to settle personal scores.
The main role in the film was played by the singer and actress Jung Hye-in (“Women’s War of Flowers”), the rest of the castes are filled by: Kon Hyo-jin (“38th parallel”), Kim In-gwon ("Method: Dead Man's Prey"), Jung Kyung-ho (“Soar into the Sky”) and other actors.
Thriller "Hidden" went to online cinemas 26 May 2022 years.
A teaser for an independent South Korean project, which we were really looking forward to, also appeared online.
We're talking about an action movie called "Tiger Impulse", about which we wrote in 2019. For any action movie fan whose interest spans Hong Kong cinema from the 70s to the 90s, this film will be of interest to the participation of the 78-year-old Casanova Vaughn (“Warriors Together”, “Master Killers”, “Made in China”) and a 60-year-old Vaughn Gina (“Operation Scorpio”, “Women on the Run”, series “In the Name of Revenge”).
The film is the actor's directorial debut. Lee Gang-wook (“Social Phobia”, “A Midsummer Dream”, TV series “You Give Me Strength”).
There is no exact synopsis yet, but it is known that Casanova Vaughn will play the grandfather of the main character, who will take revenge for the grandson of the killer organization.
Unfortunately, the rest of the cast is also unknown at the moment, as well as the location and release date of the action movie. We can only wait and watch the commercial, which shows old-school Korean martial artists crossing blades.
