Trailers for the films "Chicano", "Daughter of the Wolf" and "The Outsider"

Film production is an extremely complex process, from the actual filming to post-production, advertising, contracts with distributors, etc. Therefore, sometimes films do not come out or their release is delayed for a long time. It's good that this doesn't always happen.

Crime action drama "Chicano" (El Chicano) is a long-term actor, director and screenwriter Ben Hernandez Bray (TV series "Arrow", "Lucifer", "Queen of the South"), who had been looking for producers for his first full-length project for a long time. The film was filmed for a couple of years and went to film festivals for almost six months.

In collaboration with a famous Hollywood filmmaker Joe Carnahan ("The A-Team", "Smokin' Aces") Ben wrote the script for a crime film, the plot of which, among other things, is reminiscent of recent independent action films "Indestructible Dragon".

Synopsis: When police officer Diego Hernandez realizes that the cartel cannot be defeated by legal means, he puts on a mask, gets on a motorcycle and goes to deal with the problems personally and with extreme brutality.

Starring in the film: Raul Castillo ("We are animals"), Aimee Garcia (TV series "Lucifer") Jose Pablo Cantillo (“Andrenaline”) and other actors.

The film went into wide release 3 May 2019 years. We invite you to watch the trailer.

Talented screen fighter and actor John Fu, who delighted fans of hand-to-hand scenes with his small but notable roles in Chinese "House of Wrath" (2005) and Thai "Dragon's Honor" (2005), and later the main role in the American "Tekken" (2009) has not appeared in a feature film for a long time. The last time we saw Fu was in a not very successful series "Peak hour" (2016)

However, a trailer for the film appeared online, in which John has a prominent role. We're talking about a Western called "Stranger" (The Outsider), directed by Timothy Woodward Jr., who made an action movie last year "Muffler" with former MMA stars in central roles.

The film tells the story of an ordinary Asian man who works honestly as a railroad worker, trying to achieve the proverbial American dream in the Wild West. But because of the scoundrels, the guy’s beloved girlfriend dies and now he teams up with the sheriff who has arrived in the city to stop the total lawlessness over which a man named Marshall rules.

John Fu the on-screen duet was made up of the actor Sean Patrick Flanery (“The Boondock Saints”), and played the main villain Tracy D. Adkins ("Lincoln for the Lawyer"). The rest of the cast includes: Danny Trejo (duology "Machete"), Kaiwi Lyman (TV series "Westworld") and Nellie Tsai (“Moscow, I love you!”).

The film is expected to have a limited release and release on VoD services with 14 June 2019 year.

"Chicano" intrigued me. Reminds me of The Punisher and Hong Kong's The Masked Executioner. Has Gina Carano gotten fat? John Foo deserves better than these films

This is the case when all three films are of interest.
“Chicano” has a good trailer, I’ve been tracking films with Gina Carano for a long time, and the dark western with hand-to-hand combat (again, judging by the trailer) also promises a lot.
