Indonesian silat master, actor and action director Yayan Ruhian after the duology "Raid" has become very popular among fans of hand-to-hand combat in movies. Today, 52-year-old Rukhyan has a solid track record behind him (some films from which fans of combat films cannot watch) and is actively filming not only in his homeland, but also in the USA.
Recently, a film of the “karate kid” subgenre with a simple title was released in Indonesia. "Sarong Fight" (Sarung Fight) from director and screenwriter Archie Hekageri (“Wedding Agreement”). In this film, Yayan played the uncharacteristic role of a positive character, namely the sensei of the main character. By the way, a film with a very similar plot has already been filmed in Indonesia - "Juara" with Chechep Arif Rahman as the main villain.
Synopsis: Rich and spoiled boy Sarong falls in love with an environmental activist protesting against his family's business. Having found love, the young man will have to find the courage to resist the girl’s bully boyfriend in the national struggle. It was at this moment that Sarong’s uncle appears in his life, taking the guy as his student.
The main role in the film was played by a debutant Panji Zoni, and besides Yayana Rukhyana (“John Wick 3”, “Skyline 2-3”) is a comedian Surya Saputra (“Zombie at a classmate meeting”) and other actors.
