Streaming giant Netflix continues to delight fans of action cinema not only with planned projects, including TV series "U" is for killers starring Iko Uwais and adaptation "Avatar", but also full-length films. We will talk about some of them today.
The first of them is called "Close" (Close) and is a project of writer and director Vicki Jewison, which was previously noted for melodrama "Lady Godiva" (2008) and war drama "Born of War" (2014)
In Jewison's new film, the story revolves around security expert Sam and a girl from a wealthy family, Zoe, whose parents hire Sam as a bodyguard. Zoe is the spoiled heiress of a large family business, and therefore she is being hunted by criminal bosses and Sam becomes the only chance for salvation.
The main role was played by a Hollywood star Noomi Rapace (“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”, “Prometheus”, “Brightness”), and her on-screen duet is Sophie Nellis ("The Book Thief"). In other roles Owen Machan ("Night shift"), Huw Permenter (TV series "Vikings") and other actors.
On the channel Netflix the action movie will be shown January 18 2019 years. In the meantime, you can enjoy the trailer, in which Noomi Rapace fires cannons and throws enemies no worse than "Atomic Blonde" or "Mrs. Kay".
The next project can safely be called a spiritual successor "John Wick". We're talking about an upcoming action movie. "Polar" (Polar) with TV series stars Madsom Mikkelsen ("Hannibal") and Katheryn Winnick ("Vikings"). And while we wait for the last season of the series Vikings - season 6 release date which has already been announced, it is quite possible to enjoy Winnick in the image of the main villain.
The action film, which, as in the case of Wick, was based on a graphic novel, was directed by a Swede Jonas Åkerlund ("Lords of Chaos").
The plot tells the story of one of the most dangerous killers in the world named Duncan Vizla and nicknamed the Black Kaiser. He was once the best, but retired and now enjoys a peaceful existence in a snowy village. But the past finds him here too, and now Duncan is forced to fight off an army of merciless killers in order to figure out who ordered him.
In addition to Mikkelsen and Winnick, the film featured: Vanessa Anne Hudgens ("Start from the beginning"), Fei Ren (TV series "Lucifer") Robert Maillet ("Deadpool 2"), Johnny Knoxville (“Inveterate Partners”) and other actors.

We’d like to finish today’s selection with a French action comedy "Nicky Larson" (Nicky Larson) from the studio Sony Pictures France and director Philippa Lachaux (duology "Supernanny").
