Vietnam periodically pleases with films on hand-to-hand themes, however, not all of them reach Russian fans of the genre in one form or another.
Director's film Lee Haya called "Off Face: 48 Hours" (Face Off: 48 Hours) is the fifth in the franchise of the same name. We were unable to find out whether the films were connected plot-wise. But Hai has been releasing these action films steadily since 2015.
Synopsis: the courier Hien, who miraculously survived a clash with his employers, decided to hide from criminals with his wife and child in a village near the Mekong River. However, the mafia boss, whom Hien has annoyed, finds the family and chases them for 48 hours.
The following took part in the film: Thiet Cuong ("Last"), Mak Van Ho (“Return the baby”), Lee Ah Han (“The Kiss and the Spell”) and other actors.
The film went into limited release in its homeland. 25 June 2021 year.

We are interested in the film due to the participation in it of the founder of parkour - a 48-year-old Frenchman David Bell, which, I must say, became a frequent presence in Chinese cinema: in comedy "Superexpress" (2016) and action films "Risking my life" (2018) and "Invisible Tattoo" starring Vincent Zhao. By the way, it seems we can’t wait for the last film.
Events "Final Code" will unfold in the near future, where the mysterious Mr. M from X Corporation has developed a unique chip that allows him to repair the will of ordinary people. But its launch is interrupted by the former assassin Enoch, who once worked for the organization. He steals the chip and an agent named Xiao Yu is sent on his trail. He himself is not eager to carry out the bosses’ task, but they have the agent’s wife and daughter.

The film was written and directed by Lee Jin-ho, who previously worked exclusively on various kinds of short films.
The film tells the story of an unlucky boy Joo Hong, whose idol is the legendary Jackie Chan. Like Chan, the main character dreams of making films and playing leading action roles himself. Hong is systematically pursuing his dream, studying film at college. One day, Joo meets Chanyeol, a nerd who is studying in a filmmaking class. Together they decide to make an action short film, but in the process they stumble upon a mystery involving a college principal, fraud and 30 million. Hong, without hesitation, writes this plot into his own film.
The main roles in the film went to Lee Seok-hyun ("Heart"), Lee Joo-young (“English Study Group”) and Kim Ji-hwa ("Escape from Mogadishu").
Local release "Action Hero" expects July 21, 2021.
