Trailer for the film Bangkok Renaissance (aka Rebirth)

24 March John Fu (Jon Foo) arrived in Paris at the Bercy Sports Palace, where in honor of the release of his new film "Bangkok Renaissance" (formerly Rebirth) held a demonstration performance in front of 15 spectators at the 000th martial arts festival, and also took part in a photo shoot for a French magazine “Karate Bushido”.

Action movie premiere "Bangkok Renaissance" director Jean-Marc Mineo (Jean-Marc Minéo) should take place on June 13, 2012 in France.

Interesting Facts:

  • Jean-Marc Mineo previously trained at the Shaolin Temple and won the World Kung Fu Championship in 1987.
  • John Foo suffered a serious leg injury on the penultimate day of filming, but continued filming with his leg in a cast.

It's not from the latest movie, it's from a soft drink commercial.

Exactly. Here it is in its entirety:

This is not from the last movie

The second half of the video is "Tekken". And in the first there is a piece from the third (I think) “Universal Soldier”.

There is an excerpt (sort of) from the last film, somewhat reminiscent of Ong Bak.

The running bit (at 30 sec) from the showreel is similar to Ong-Bak. The roller works.

Ilya, what movie is this? Why is the video not working? Can you provide a link? ))

I agree with you about the operator’s servitude. In the east, everything has always interacted - choreographer + cameraman + editor! And the films were Asian and cheap.
Well, Florentine knows a lot about BI firsthand and you can feel his power! And by the way, he chooses very interesting plans for shooting.

Once again I am amazed at the wretchedness of the camera work. So many opportunities and so shameful to shoot.
Do the creators really have no idea how to “present” it in all its glory?
Just like it was with Jackie, Sammo and the films of the 80s.
The fight scenes with Sammo's participation still remain unsurpassed, and his skill in tough fights and stunts is sometimes simply amazing with its clarity and spectacular dynamics!

This is not necessarily the operator's fault. He is a forced man and in most cases he films as the director orders him. Plus the installation must be competent. Well, a small budget affects, first of all, the duration of post-processing.

Of all the non-Asian former fighters who became directors, Florentine stands out. Even on a small budget, he is capable of filming a “candy”, albeit a DTV one.

Well, finally)) I thought that it would never come out))
Was he really in post-production for so long, or were they re-shooting some scenes of the film all this time? By the way, excerpts from the trailer are old, I saw them back in 2010...

The French list it as a teaser, exclusively provided by the director specifically for the festival organizers. It is possible that we will see a remounted version before June.

    Interesting Facts. Thank.
Can foreigners study in a Shaolin monastery? Or has he switched to a commercial basis a long time ago?
