"The Avenger Diaries" is based on a popular web series that aired from 2013 to 2014.

Film company Anchor Bay Entertainment will “give” the film a limited theatrical release and launch on iTunes 24 June, and DVD and Blu-ray will be available for sale July 5.

I looked. Well, it's trashy, of course, but quite strong. It’s better not to look too much for logic in the film. It’s not that it’s not there at all, it’s just that with these constant flashbacks you can easily get confused. The action here isn't very good either. The shootouts are stupid, there are only three hand-to-hand fights, Michael Jai White took part in two of them, but he didn’t show anything interesting, because... His rivals were not at all combative. The main character is gray and not at all an interesting character, unlike the supporting roles.

What I liked were the characters with their own personalities. Well, that makes it a little more interesting to watch. And in the end it’s generally wonderful - Michael Jai White, Michael Madsen and Danny Trejo gathered in one bar in order to arrange a bloody shootout with mercenaries. It was a very atmospheric moment; if they had shown these old guys at work a little more, perhaps there would have been fewer complaints about the film.

The rest is typical, but far from the worst DtV action movie.
