During the reign of the Manchu Qin Dynasty, Emperor Yong Zheng created a secret squad of assassins known as the Guillotines, wiping out anyone who tried to oppose the Emperor. Emperor Qian Long then ascends the throne and adopts Western ideas and technology. To consolidate his power under the new regime, the Emperor continues to use the services of the Guillotine to keep the conquered Chinese in line.
The Guillotine team, led by Master Leng, includes five young warriors: Mu, San, Tai, Hutu and Buka. Unquestioningly following the instructions of the imperial court, they never failed in 348 missions. But such success made them arrogant and complacent.
In the next task they need to destroy the Wolf and his gang of Shepherds. During the operation, the squad manages to lure the Wolf into a trap. But before execution, the commander orders to take him alive. He planned to secretly use the Wolf in his struggle for power. At this moment, the Wolf Gang ambushes Guillotine. The wolf escapes, taking Mu hostage.
After receiving information that the Wolf has headed towards the Outer Borders, the team tracks him down to a remote village. Meanwhile, the Emperor sends his most trusted agent Du to carry out the same mission and, most importantly, he intends to end the Guillotine era by replacing bladed weapons with firearms. If they take just one wrong step, they will turn from hunters to prey. Facing the threat of annihilation, Len and his Guillotine squad must prevail and outwit enemies on both sides.
