TF1 has acquired the rights to the Chinese action film Wu Xia

French distribution company "TF1" purchased the rights to distribute the historical action film “Wu Xia” on the territory of France. The deal marked the first European sale of a film that sold out in Asian countries in the early stages of distribution.

The film with a budget of 20 million is currently in post-production. Visual effects are handled by the largest Korean VFX company “Digital Idea”, which the audience should remember from the film “Forbidden Kingdom” (The Forbidden Kingdom) with Jackie Chan и Jet Li.

Chinese premiere of the action film “Wu Xia” с Donnie Yen и Takeshi Kaneshiro starring in the lead roles should take place in late spring 2011, and the film is scheduled for release in other territories in the summer.
