“Ta-Beng-man” with Marris Crump?

Recently, on the pages of English-language blogs dedicated to the latest in cinema and martial arts, interesting information appeared that Marrese Crump met in Bangkok with Prachya Pinkaev and his team from the “Baa Ram Ewe” studio and after his return, expressing delight from -for the opportunity presented to him, he said:

“We are all confident that we will make a quality film that both fans and martial arts practitioners will enjoy and be proud of.”

We were talking about a future film Gija Yanin called “Ta-Beng-man” (Ta Bang Marn) from the Thai company “Sahamongkol”.

Unfortunately, the reliability of this information is highly debatable, since all the news is based only on the words of the actor himself and on a video showing Marris Crump training (allegedly) with a team of stuntmen Pannas of Rittikrai. If such news turns out to be true, we will be in for an interesting spectacle in 2010, because Marris is not just an ordinary actor, but an excellent fighter. In addition to working as a fight director and stunt coordinator on the films Wrong Side of Town and GI Joe: Battle for the Serpent Stone, he is known for training WWE champion Batista. But that's not all. Here is a small list of styles that he owns: Karate, Muay Thai, Kung Fu, Capoeira, Boxing, Filipino Kali, Taekwondo and Ninjutsu.

Especially for site readers, we present a mini-interview with this actor:

How do you train and what are you doing at the moment?

I started studying martial arts at the age of 6. This became the meaning of life for me.

How was it working with “ANIMAL”, Batista? Did you find it easy?

Working with Dave is a pleasure. He trains hard and never gives up, that's what I like most about him.

What exactly did you focus on during training with Batista?

Now I teach him various nuances of martial arts: punches, kicks, tricks, grabs and working with weapons. He handles everything!!!

You mentioned that you are working on some kind of film project with Rob Van Dam. Can you clarify, or is this classified information?

All I can say is that if you like action movies, then you can't miss this movie.

What other people from WWE have you worked with? Are you planning or want to work in the future?

I recently talked to a couple of wrestlers from Smackdown and Raw who would like to train with me, but we're having scheduling issues.

Information that Marris Crump will take part in the filming of Prachya Pinkaev’s film has been confirmed, but it will not be “Ta-Beng-man”.

According to Anesti Vega of Elamintal Media, Prachya has many projects in the pipeline and Crump will be part of one of them. This project does not yet have a name, and work on it will probably begin in 2010.

What movie did Marris Crump coach Batista for? Which Rob Van Damme?

Marris trained Batista both for filming and for performances in the World Wrestling Federation (Raw, Smackdown, etc.). The film with Rob Van Dam (who, by the way, was also a wrestler and used martial arts), Batista and Crump is called Wrong Side of Town. Expected to be released in 2010.
Rob Van Dam (RVD) is his stage name. His real name is Robert Alexander Zhatkovsky. I attached a couple of clips from the film set to the news. Moves well considering the weight of 110 kg.
