The plot of the film “Never Back Down 2”

As promised, I present the official plot of the film “Never Give Up 2” (Never Back Down 2), published on the official website "ActionFest".

Former boxer Zak (Alex Meraz), talented MMA fighter Tim (UFC fighter Todd Duffy), Justin, the salesman who everyone always makes fun of (MMA fighter Scott Epstein), and wrestler Mike (Dean Geyer) were engaged in various types of martial arts, but they were all united by a passion for this “wild science”, and soon they completely and completely began to trust their trainer named Case (Michael Jai White), former champion UFC. He is now “broke” and trains his students using non-standard methods.

Teaching them more than just fighting, Case prepares young people for a competition called "Beatdown", which is run by a local college student, aka impresario Max (Evan Peters). When some corrupt policemen “frame” their mentor, the young people unite to find out the identity of the traitor who has “wormed his way” among their circle.

“Never Give Up 2” - directorial debut Michael Jay White. Together with the director of fight scenes Larnell Stovall (award winner “ActionFest 2010” for Best Fight Choreography in a Film “Undisputed 3”), he created a number of spectacular and impressive screen fights.

there are moments related to part 1)

The only familiar name is Max. I want Tyler to come back.

I can't wait for this film to come out. Judging by the trailer the film will be successful

I have the impression that he has nothing to do with the first part, although it seems like there will be a guy playing there, what’s his name, who was beaten, who brought him to the club. And that's all it seems. I didn’t see the main character of the first part on the posters. Looks like it's a different movie altogether.

The first part is better than the second.....it would be nice if Jack Tyler was here) then it would have been a movie!:)

Judging by the reviews after the current ActionFest, the battles are better than in the original, but the plot is weak. But the working version of the film is more than 2 hours long, so if you throw out all the unnecessary stuff, as was said in one of the reviews, you might end up with a worthy sequel. At least in terms of fighting.

Let's see if this happens with NNS 2, on paper so far everything looks good.

"due to the wild popularity of the first part"

If the first part had been wildly popular, then a DTV sequel would not have been made. It's like Undisputed...the first part had a big budget but failed, so Undisputed 2 had a tiny budget and the film has only cosmetic similarities to the original, which were given only to increase the chances of the DTV sequel breaking even. But we all know what happened then... a miracle happened and the DTV sequel turned out to be much better and more interesting for the public than the big-budget original.

The actor who played Max in part 1 will also star in this one. By the way, Michael Jai White starred in the 2nd part of the undisputed and in the 3rd part, but not as an actor.

And in what capacity, if it’s not a secret?

PS I just watched all the credits. White is not there at all. :)

Well, let's see what happens in the end.

I say - take a different name. What's the problem?
And as for statements about “black belts” and experience in BI - don’t tell my anti-gravity slippers. Or do you think that if an actor plays a space shuttle pilot, he should be a real astronaut? ))))
"Neve Back Down" is a masterpiece, a film where every little detail, every character is written with love and knowledge. And if someone failed to see it, then that’s their problem.
Moreover, my rightness is confirmed by the simple fact that M.D. White could have taken and made a film with a different name and a different story, but no! Come on! I decided to shoot a sequel because of the wild popularity of the first part. That's all love))))

Yes, a unique comparison: science fiction and martial arts films...

If some Dima Bilan had starred in “Ong-Bak” instead of Tony Jaa (no offense to Dimon), would the film have turned out the same? Never.

For many fans, the depth of the characters is not the main thing, the main thing is that the fights are great and the story is interesting, so you shouldn’t compare everyone to yourself. You liked it, and I’m happy for you, but to me personally the film seemed weak, I watched it once and forgot, and I have absolutely no desire to watch it a second time, which cannot be said about other films that are not “masterpieces” as such .

Regarding the MDL and the title: Whether or not to make a sequel is decided by the studio, which chooses the director. White is not James Cameron, he simply gave his consent, that’s all, and I sincerely wish him good luck.

For what? One question - why make a sequel to this masterpiece? Rave. Nonsense. This is somehow wrong.
Take a different name! No need to spoil the only great MMA movie in recent years.

Here is my review of this film.

And I don't want some dude to ruin this franchise, even if it's M.D. White...

Masterpiece? Only if you compare it with films from "Tapout". And in the first part, of the main characters, only Cam Gigandet has a black belt in Krav Maga. The rest are just cute and not very actors who have virtually no experience in acting (training before filming does not count). Why are you so sure that the film will be ruined if no one has even seen the trailer for it? Maybe it will be just the opposite, as happened with “Undisputed,” when the two sequels were an order of magnitude superior to the original film.

and although it’s really a pity that there won’t be a continuation of the first part, well, this one will probably be better

    Author's gravatar

Michael Jai White is always on top so it will be a great movie

    Author's gravatar

The film should be Super, especially since an actor like Michael Jai White, who is so popular and well-known, will clearly look in this film and be in such a leading role.

    Author's gravatar

It's a pity that it's not a continuation of the first part....

    Author's gravatar

but why is it called never give up2 if there is no connection with the first part?
    and other actors...

    Author's gravatar

I look forward with undisguised impatience to the fight scenes in Never Back Down 2 and the Blood and Bone-level dynamics.

    Author's gravatar

The director of the third undisputed gives a lot of hope!

    Author's gravatar

Todd Duffee no longer fights in the UFC. This is for reference))

    Author's gravatar

EvilDollaR haven't heard anything about the trailer?

    Author's gravatar

    >So that’s why it’s called number 2?
maybe they don’t give up twice))))))

    Author's gravatar

Director of Undisputed 3! I think it will be tough.

      Author's gravatar

Let's see which White is the director (and director)...

    Author's gravatar

I think the movie will be cool!
    So that's why it's called number 2?
I'm more than sure that this film will not be connected in any way with the previous part.
