68-year-old action hero of the 80s and 90s Steven Seagal (the “Under Siege” duology) again decided to produce the project based on his own script, as was the case with the hand-to-hand action movie "Wear" 2018 year.
The future film has received a working title "Swordsman" (The Swordsman) and will be filmed by the studio Keller Edde Studios in collaboration with producer George Alley (“The Nine Yards”, “The Racer”, “Fists of Stone”).
"Swordsman" is presented as a historical action movie, the events of which will develop in 1800. The main character is a former military man who is a sword master. His past is covered with blood, so the hero wants to spend the rest of his life in peace and quiet. However, he is pursued by assassins who seek to kill the protagonist at any cost.
The main role, of course, belongs to Seagal. At the moment, the filmmakers are in search of a director and the rest of the ensemble cast.
A teaser poster appeared on George Alley's blog, which fans of Seagal's work criticized for "disgusting photoshop." The poster was removed, but the Internet remembers everything. All we have to do is wait for news.

In general, the copyright for the manga belongs to the author Yusuke Murata were sold to the Dream Factory four years ago. The producers of the future film have been appointed Jeff Pinker ("Venom") and Scott Rosenberg ("Jumanji") from the company Avi and Ari Arad.
