Stallone will work with Iko Uwais and Dolph Lundgren, action movie streaming services are developing

According to the news agency Variety, action legend Sylvester Stallone seriously intends to focus on production activities, developing his own studio Balboa Productions. Sly is looking to develop his brand as "the place where action movies are made" in the spirit of the studios blumhouse or Cannon. Stallone believes that today there is no film production studio that focuses exclusively on action films.

Moreover, Sly and his team have already compiled an indicative list of projects that they will tackle in the near future Balboa Productions. Two of them deserve our attention.

The first one is called "Bellhop" (The Bellhop) and is a hand-to-hand action thriller set to star an Indonesian silat master and actor Iko Uwais (dulogy “Raid”, “Night is coming for us”, “Ali, steer!”).

There are no details about the plot, director or the rest of the cast yet. It’s interesting that Uwais is assigned another mysterious project - an American action movie "Express to Chinatown".

Next project Balboa Productions And company Flame Ventures is a dramatic action series with Dolph Lundgren starring. The series does not yet have an official title, but it already has general plot outlines: old Dolph will play the role of a former secret agent who, with his team, is involved in operations to free hostages.

The producers of the project are: Sylvester Stallone, Brad Aftergood (“Battleship”, “Professional”) and Craig Waumgarten, who has been collaborating with Lundgren since the early 90s. They worked on a franchise together "Universal Soldier", militants "Shooter" (1995) and "Slave trade" (2014)

Accordingly, there is no more information about the future series. It remains to add that from Dolph Lundgren fans of his work are waiting for a sports drama "Hostility" and his directorial work "Wanted".

Well, Stallone himself will soon appear in the final (we hope) part of the cult franchise "Rambo".

But the director, producer and businessman Roel Rein, which is well known to fans of combat films with such films as "The Scorpion King 3: Book of the Dead" (2003) with Billy Zane, "Iron Fist 2" with RZA and "Hard Target 2" with Scott Adkins, took it and opened a new streaming service actionflix.com.

Rain, with the support of various production centers, essentially created an online channel that will specialize in combat films and action in general. For example, on the channel Rain produces and hosts the program "Movie Makers", which is positioned as interviews with various film figures. In addition, Roel has already posted six of his independent films on the channel, including his debut action adventure "Delivery" (1999) and a 90-minute documentary about its creation.

According to Rhine, Actionflix should also become a platform for independent filmmakers who make films and TV series in the action genre, while maintaining copyrights and receiving income from the network distribution of their projects.

Roel Rein also thinks that in the future, collaborating with production companies, series will be released under the Actionflix label. Rain himself has cut his teeth by filming episodes for such famous TV series as "Black Sails" (2014-2017), "Supermen" (2017) and recent "Fall of the Order" и "Wu Assassins".

All that remains is to wish Rain every success and invite you to watch a commercial for his streaming service.
