According to some Turkish websites, the famous actor and fighter Scott Adkins (X-Men Origins. Wolverine, Ninja, Undeniable 3) and Cyril Raffaelli (District 13, The Incredible Hulk, Tekken) will take part in a project called “Dark Deal”. Raffaelli will act as stunt coordinator and fight director. The film is positioned as the most expensive project in Turkey and it is expected that it will literally “blow the minds” of action fans from all over the world. Details related to their roles and plot details are still quite vague, but information that Turkish actors Ali Surmeli, Kenan Isik and Tamer Karadaghli are in the cast has been confirmed.
And now about the sad thing. The Turkish action film will be directed by none other than the infamous director Andrzej Bartkowiak, who created Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, Doom and From Cradle to Grave. His name does not inspire much confidence and it is likely that even the presence of such excellent martial artists as Scott Adkins and Cyril Raffaelli will not save the film from failure.
Filming will begin on February 25 and will take place in Istanbul (Turkey), Thailand (!) and Russia (!). The tentative release date is October 2010.
