Sylvester Stallone Drops Out of Cliffhanger Reboot — Role Given to Pierce Brosnan

Initially, the project to reboot the film "Climber” (Cliffhanger) was planned to participate Sylvester Stallone, who played the iconic Gabe Walker in the original 1993 version. Sly was interested in returning, and the idea was to have his character being taken hostage and having his daughter rescued, which would have been a new twist for his character. Along with Stallone, director Rick Roman Vo.

However, the concept of the film later changed, and Stallone, along with the director, left the project. Now "Climber” will be a full-fledged reboot, where Pierce Brosnan plays Ray Cooper, an experienced mountain climber who owns a mountain chalet in the Italian Dolomites. His daughter Naomi, played by Lily James, must overcome her fears and save her family after they are attacked by kidnappers. The new film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Unknown, Air Marshal).
