Review of "Vengeance Of An Assassin" by Eoin Friel

We bring to your attention another review of the latest action movie Panna Rittikrai, "The Assassin's Revenge" (Vengeance Of An Assassin). If you still had doubts about whether this movie is worth watching, Eoin Friel once again confirmed that viewing is a must for fans of the genre.

pros: Action scenes, powerful, vibrant and unusual. Interesting villains and a real anti-hero.
Minus: Terrifying train scene!
Verdict: 4/5 – Everyone watch!

Plot:

The Assassin's Creed is to never deviate from the mission. Don't lose sight of the victim. Forget about mercy. Nati (Dan Chupong) became a killer to find out who was responsible for the death of his parents. The closer he gets to his goal, the more danger his loved ones are in. Betrayed, pursued by his “colleagues,” the boss sets new goals for himself: be faster. Stronger. Hit for sure. Survive.

Overview:

Film "The Killer's Revenge"was close to the masterpieces of action films; the first half tore me to pieces with the quantity and quality of action and gore! The scenes were approached creatively and, dare I say it, innovatively.

A gorgeous shootout in a restaurant, where we only see the killer’s legs and it’s all done in one take. I think this scene is the most effective in the entire film. Dan Chupong a classic anti-hero, and also invulnerable; Here he seems to be dead and yet... alive.

The script, on the whole, is adequate and not torn. It's nice to see both the villains and their untimely outcome. Late Panna Rittikrai had previously worked with Tony Jaaa in Ong Bak 2 and 3, so he was no stranger to action films. And this film is a worthy epitaph.

There was a fly in the ointment, a big spoon. This is the scene on the train. As gorgeous as the film is, the computer effects are simply terrible, which prevents it from becoming something of a classic.
Generally, "Vengeance Of An Assassin" is a solid action thriller with amazing fight scenes and blistering pace but terrible CGI.

Those who don’t know have already appeared with a translation, watched it... I don’t regret watching it, overall the action is impressive. The disadvantages were mentioned earlier, but there are still more such scenes than mentioned. My uncle's memories of an unsuccessful police operation against drug dealers are brutal nonsense, three cripples with revolvers against a huge gang with machine guns, running around and shooting was somewhat reminiscent of the early "Mask Shows". The scene on the train is really “not the right coat”, but it is complemented by a chase in a jeep and further actions with a helicopter - well, this is already something between “Bollywood” and “Don’t be afraid, I’m with you!” The shooting in general is all bad in the film, but the fighting is better. The scene in the pharmacy with the Chinese doctor - I don’t know how anyone likes it, but it was staged effectively and, by the way, without Muay Thai at all. Anyone who disagrees can unsubscribe, but I was objective..

Dmitry, a Chinese doctor is a Chinese to know kung fu. I liked the scene as a whole, but it didn’t smell of realism and it didn’t have the crazy stunts like in the first scene (Muay Thai football).

Yes, it’s been on torrents for a long time. In my opinion, it's a boring movie.

      Ravenside,

Well, I think I wrote that the only thing outstanding there is the stunts.

The script and so on - it doesn’t interfere much with watching. Well, that is, nothing.
Computer effects - Bollywood. Fortunately there are few of them.
The action is crap. The scene in the restaurant is more or less, and where there are two-handed machine guns, it’s a children’s war game.
Fights are weak. I expected much more. Not enough realism and expediency, not enough technicality. Often opponents are CLEARLY (in the frame) waiting for their turn to attack.
The stunts (including in fights) are AWESOME!!! To jump kick someone in the head, so that this someone crashes into something, and then falls - everything is staged SO that young Jackie Chan is smoking nervously in the corner. This is where the Thais are the craziest!
IMHO, "Bangkok Knockout" will be a little better, but "Assassin's Revenge" is not far behind it.
