Actor and fight director Fung Hak-on passes away

On March 2, a veteran of Hong Kong action cinema passed away Fung Hak-ona. The legendary actor and fight director died of esophageal cancer. Being the son of a famous Chinese director Funa Funa and the actress's brother Petrina Fun, Hak-on was also a member of stuntmen's associations Jackie Chan и Sammo Hunga. In addition, he acted in many of their films.

Fung, born on September 12, 1948, like many other actors, began his career in Shaw Brothers back in the 60s, playing extras and performing stunts in such studio hits as "Retribution"(1970) and"These were heroes"(1970), working with the legendary director Chan Chae and his assistant John Woo. Subsequently, it was Woo who would give Hak-on one of his best roles in "Young dragons"(1975). Fung had notable roles in films such asHeroes together"(1974),"Five Shaolin Masters"(1974),"Spiritual boxer"(1975) and others.

leaving Shaw Brothers, Fung Hak-on began working with Sammo Hoon in the studio Golden Harvest. They worked together on the films "Warriors together" and "Monk with an Iron Fist(1977), where Hong played the main villains. Hak-on later joined the stuntmen Jackie Chan to participate in projects "young master"(1980),"Lord Dragon"(1982),"police history"(1985) and others.
