New project by Steven Seagal and Rob Van Dam

2016 promises to be a year for Steven Seagal very fruitful, because about seven films are planned for this year in which the aging action star of the 80s and 90s will play a leading or supporting role. However, apart from "Asian liaison","The perfect weapon","Four towers"and other upcoming films, it became known about another Seagal project.

The new project is called "Sniper: special forces"(Sniper: Special Forces) (in some sources the film is called "Prisoner"), which, according to foreign sites, is already at the post-production stage. In addition to Seagal himself, a pro-wrestler and actor will appear in the film Rob Van Dam (“Blood Moon”, “Black Mask 2: City of Masks”), who, apparently, is assigned the role of the main villain. The film also stars Tim Abell, Dale Day and others. Despite the name, "Sniper"Sigala has nothing to do with the franchise of the same name.

According to the synopsis, Steven Seagal plays the leader of a special forces unit named Jake Chandler, who, along with the soldiers, is sent to a remote Afghan village to rescue an American congressman. The mission to rescue the prisoner is successful, but during a shootout, Seagal's hero remains in Afghanistan, caring for wounded soldiers.

"Sniper" is directed by Fred Olen Ray is a well-known filmmaker in the narrow circles of B-action movie fans, whose years of activity were in the 90s. For example, he filmed "Inferno"starring Don Wilson.

«Sniper: special forces"is planned for release this year, but the exact release date is not known.

Seagal went completely downhill. Although Olen Ray once saw normal films. Well, normal compared to the rest of the C-class.
