Isaac Florentine's new action movie starring Antonio Banderas and Karl Urban

From the controversial and yet beloved director Isaac Florentine, action movie fans are always looking forward to new films. And, apparently, they waited...

Isaac Florentine, who is considered a cult director among fans Scott Adkins (“Undisputed 2-3”, “Ninja 1-2”, “Close Range”), took on a project called The STOICS. In addition, Florentine selected serious actors for the main roles: Antonio Banderas ("Desperado", "The Mask of Zorro", "The Expendables 3"), Karla Urbana (Star Trek trilogy, The Chronicles of Riddick, Judge Dredd 3D) and Dog Vega (“Roman Dates”).

Banderas will play a lawyer who is forced to take justice into his own hands after the murder of his wife and son. For now, this is the entire synopsis provided by the filmmakers.

The person well known to us is generally responsible for the fight choreography and staging of the action. Tim Man, who directed action in films such as "Ninja 2" (2013) and "Boyka: Undeniable" (2017)

Nothing more is known about the project at the moment, but Antonio Banderas shared a joint photo with Paz Vega on his Instagram. And then photographs appeared, either from training for combat scenes, or from the filming process.

The release of the action movie is expected in 2017.

We'll keep you posted.

Banderas is exactly the case when an actor from the top “persons” of Hollywood (at one time, of course) has practically no experience at all in cinematic fights (Hit a bone, perhaps) Maybe someone can correct me?

Banderoas, of course, has fallen down and of course is forced to film with Avi Lerner.

No, he didn’t let go, Lerner has grown up and has been directing stars for a long time, acting with him is no longer considered shameful, but it’s somehow strange to see Banderas in a hand-to-hand action movie, it’s unlikely that Banderas was involved in sports before.

        Dave,

Lerner shoots only those stars who are not in great demand in big Hollywood, but still have a big name because of their past work.

So, of course, there’s no shame in filming with him (there’s no smell of money), but it doesn’t say anything good about the state of your career

Maybe yes, but he has films that have grossed millions. And not everyone can do this.

          Celpaso,

Well, Urban now seems to be feeling quite normal in terms of his career.

            DIV,

I don't agree. From 2013 to 2016, not a single film, the series starring him was closed after the first season in 2014, the third Star Trek failed. The only hope is that his role in Marvel films will not be limited to one new Thor, but even if so... acting once every two or three years (even in big films) is not an option if you live only by acting.

So filming New Image films is quite a way out to interrupt between more respectable projects.

It's a pity that Scott Adkins is not in this film. would have added some flavor to the film.

Yes, it’s really a pity, our Scott is very good.

          TIMMONS,

If Scott had starred in this film, they would have written “Again Scott is acting for Isaac, because no one else is giving him work” =D

Yes, I would say so if Scott were the only star of the film as in CLOSE DISTANCE. but here is Antonio, and it’s good to act with him, even if he’s not as good as before.

Apparently Florentine moved to A cinema, or vice versa Banderas moved to B cinema. Interesting news.

      Dave,

Banderas and Urban are actors who will now constantly alternate large, but secondary A-class roles, with the main (or star cameos) in B-class.

This film is something like a high-quality DTV project, which many countries will screen in limited release, and the DVD with them will cost more than ordinary DTV projects.

But for Isaac, in any case, this is the biggest project of his career. For which I congratulate him

But this is great news!!! God grant that this project sees the light of day. Banderas in the guise of Florentine under the supervision of Tim Man is very cool!!!
