New projects by Veronica Ngo and Michael Jai White, Creed returns, and Bruce Lee saves Chuck Norris

Vietnamese model, singer, actress, screenwriter and director Veronica Ngo (“Once Upon a Time in Vietnam,” “Crash,” “Fury,” “Bright”), who is rightly called the new star of hand-to-hand action, is preparing another directorial project.

Let's remember that Ngo's previous directorial work was a historical epic "Tam and Kam: The Untold Story" (2016). Veronica's new film will be a superhero action movie, in the center of which there will be a Vietnamese hero with superpowers. The studio will be used for this purpose. Studio68 -, which was engaged in production "Furies" (2018) and helped with the filming of the war drama "Five of One Blood" directed by Spike Lee.

The future project is called "Vinaman" (Vinaman). Unfortunately, that's where the news about the action movie ends. Ngo takes on producing and directing responsibilities, but whether there is a script, whether the cast is being selected, and when filming will start is unclear. On social networks, Veronica spoke about the project as follows:

The world has Iron Man, Spider-Man and Superman. But what does Vietnam have? The younger generation needs a superhero and Vietnam needs a representative figure.

Cult actor of hand-to-hand cinema Michael Jai White agreed to participate in an action movie called "Commando" (The Commando). The upcoming film is not a remake of the classic action movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger or a Bollywood film series with Vidyut Jamwal. The creators say that this will be a separate story.

The companies launched production facilities for filming Premiere Entertainment Group, Al Bravo Films, Little Nalu Pictures and Avail Entertainment.

American actor Michael B. Jordan, known primarily as the performer of the roles of Adonis Creed in the dilogy "Creed: Rocky's Legacy" and Erik Killmonger in a comic blockbuster "Black Panther" decided that there should be a third film about the life of a black boxer.

If we believe Deadline, the synopsis for this epic is: Bruce Lee returns after a fake death and wants to spend the rest of his days in a quiet and peaceful retirement, but finds out that his old friend is a martial artist and actor Chuck Norris illegally put behind bars, he decides to come to the rescue.

Well... At least it's interesting. It is also curious who will play Bruce and Chuck in retirement, and who will be their main villain? Bob Doll? In general, a lot of questions and not a single answer!

Let's hope that trailers, which are usually “collected” for the film festival program, will soon appear online. In the meantime, we can remember that crazy stories are very closely associated with the name of Bruce Lee. Remember at least a conceptually similar film? "Bruce Lee Rises from the Grave" (1978), where future stars of the hand-to-hand genre were filmed Hwang Jang Lee и Sho Kosugi.
