Despite his 66 years, the legend of hand-to-hand combat Jackie Chan doesn't sit idle. Unfortunately, his action Avanhard, which was supposed to be released in early 2020, went untimely into oblivion due to the coronavirus pandemic. The producers, including Chan himself, refused to send the film to online distribution, waiting for cinemas to open in mid-autumn of this year.
Chan’s other projects also selflessly “hovered in the air”: a Hollywood action movie "Project X", director's drama "My diary" and a produced action film from China – "Mercenary Career" starring Liu Ye.
Despite this state of affairs, Chan has plans to expand. According to the company Asian Film Strike, preparations for filming are currently underway "Police Story 2022" (Police Story 2022). But the government accuses the man of illegally trafficking weapons and distributing drugs. Father and son consider all this to be the tricks of a major Ukrainian mafioso, whom the main character’s son once crossed.
The film was directed by David Sharon (“Shipwreck Survivors”), and the main roles in addition to JCVD went to Samir Dekazze (TV series "Lawman") and Alban Ivanov (“Be friends in Russian”).

Michael will star in the upcoming thriller Red 48, which the company produces Highland Myst. According to specialized media reports, Jay White auditioned for the lead role, but in the end it went to the star of the Fast and Furious franchise - Tyrese Gibson. It is known that the main villain will be played by Christopher Backus (TV series "Sons of Anarchy"), and Michael Jai White will get the role of one of his thugs.

46-year-old martial artist and actor Vincent Zhao (“The Real Legend”, “Udan”, the “Unity of Heroes” duology) recently finished filming a military-patriotic action film "Counterattack" (Counter Attack) - his directorial debut.
It is not entirely clear whether this film is the same military thriller in which should be to film Vincent Zhao with another hand-to-hand action star - Max Zhang. But the cast "Counterattacks" does not have the names that were announced earlier.
At the moment, a detailed synopsis is unknown, but the filmmakers are talking about it as a military action film in the spirit of a duology "War of the Wolves" (2015, 2017) Jackie Wu, "Operations Mekong" (2016) and "Operations in the Red Sea" (2018) Dante Lama.
