Ninjasauras Rex: plot, characters and illustrations

Director Frank Pore (Frank Paur) with Stephen Meyer (Steven Meyer) is developing a new animated series with a funny name "Ninjasaurus Rex" (Ninjasauras Rex).

Brief description of the plot:

"Ninjasaurus Rex" is an animated adventure comedy series with 30-minute episodes, telling about the exploits of the ninja Tyrannosaurus Rex and his young assistant Asper in feudal Japan. Throughout the series, the characters and the audience will have to discover and explore a mysterious world full of mysteries. They will unravel mysteries, find new allies and fight old enemies. So the world will witness their journey from a forgotten past to a bright future.

Characters:

Rex / Rex

Tyrannosaurus Rex was found by Asper in the Lost Temple when he was still small. More human than animal, Rex is fiercely protective of Asper and becomes insanely jealous when she pays attention to someone else. Learning ninjutsu with her, Rex approaches training with great enthusiasm, but his attempts in the art of combat and camouflage often end in failure. Fortunately, he can always return to his favorite formula - "stomp and chew."

Asper / Asper

The young girl who found Rex. He studies ninjutsu with him and is something of a translator for him. While most people only hear the roars of a dinosaur, Asper has no problem understanding what he is talking about, often having meaningful conversations with him, which confuses those around him. As a teenager, she is usually cold and calculating, but at the same time, she is not averse to sometimes making fun of her bodyguard Rex (who is just a crybaby compared to her).

The Emperor

The Emperor lives two lives. To his subordinates and the rest of the world, he appears as cruel and terrible, powerful and wise. But when he is alone with himself, he literally turns into a bundle of nerves. The constant stress of containing a crumbling empire is too much for him, and with each episode he gets worse and worse. Most of his people did not pay any attention to this, only a few people began to suspect something.

Shadow Master

The most cruel and darkest character in the entire series. There's not much funny about him (though his fear of lizards is kind of funny... for a time). This is a character who decided to become soulless at the beginning of the war, which is why he rose so quickly up the career ladder of a military leader. He is aware of how weak the Emperor is and plans to one day dethrone him and rule in his place. But first he needs to find the giant lizard that bit off his hand and take revenge. A truly scary character, his obsession is akin to Captain Hook's with alligators.

Ninja Master

Anyone who has watched the Shaw Brothers kung fu films will recognize this character. Older, grumpier, but wiser. than anyone could have imagined. He teaches Asper (and subsequently Rex) the art of ninjutsu. He is also a fan of jokes. Although this behavior seems a little strange to others, his actions are more reasonable than they seem at first glance.

Cecil (aka Bucket) / Cecil (Bucket)

Literally and figuratively, the “right hand” of the Master of Shadows (he will never understand the irony of such a position). A whiner and a sycophant in everything, living to serve and please his master. Owner of the largest collection of toy figures (actually, dolls). Nobody knows that dolls are his way of coping with the psychological trauma he received in childhood from his father, who was as psychotic as himself.

Relationships between characters

Rex and Asper have a strong bond with each other, but that doesn't mean there won't be disagreements between them. At times they are more like brother and sister than a pet and its owner. The strong-willed Asper believes that she is capable of becoming a real leader, but Rex also thinks about leadership, especially where it involves “trampling and chewing.” Fortunately, the ninja mentor puts them in their place.

Even though Rex is a big, scary dinosaur warrior... he also loves to frolic. When no one is looking, he happily chases butterflies across the field or jumps like a bomb into the lake.

Naturally, the opponents have their own situation. As mentioned earlier, sometimes you have to compromise and agree to a not-so-desirable alliance. Most of the time they fight. The humor lies in how the soldiers, compared to their commanders, feel about the state of affairs. Mentally superior to their commanders, soldiers often pass the time by engaging in philosophical debates on the battlefield about the ins and outs of war.
