On August 2nd, production began on a new historical action film in Kaifeng, Henan Province. “Rescue of General Yang” / “Saving General Yang” (aka “Warriors of the Yang Clan” / “Yang Clan Warriors”). The director attended the press conference dedicated to the start of filming Ronnie Yu accompanied by actors Vika Chow, Wu Chun, Raymond Lamb, Fu Xinbo и Yu Bo. Louis Koo couldn't come due to injury, but Li Chen was very busy with work. The film is based on the famous saga about the heroes of ancient China - the four generations of the Yang clan. They all sacrificed their lives to defend their country.
Director Gareth Evans wrote on his Twitter that the world premiere of his new action movie "The Raid" (Serbuan Maut) will take place at the Toronto International Film Festival as part of the program "Midnight Madness", as it was in its time with the film “Ong-Bak”.
Interesting Facts:

- Scott Adkins wished Gareth Evans good luck with the premiere and wrote that he would enjoy watching the film.

Seiji Chiba's new film is set to be released on DVD in the UK on September 5th "Rogue Ninja". Fans of Japanese thrash metal will be pleased.
