A militant 32nd generation Shaolin monk, Li Bao Xin (Li Zhang), is forced to move to New York to look after little Jenny, his niece. In an attempt to start a new life, Li Bao will have to face trials that will test his strength not so much his physical strength as his character. Despite everything, his thoughts are filled with heroic stories about the Shaolin Temple, about the greatest traditions that protect it. But this only complicates his integration with Western culture. While in China he was a revered master, in America he is a nobody. For his sake and Jenny's sake, Li Bao must confront modern society, where his outstanding fighting skills and heroic background mean little. He will have to decide what is more important to him: his dreams or his family.
