The couple, who are also a creative duo, presented at the film festival Action On Film Fest and the convention MartialCon California has its own unfinished construction "Dragon Fist" - a low-budget hand-to-hand action film that was released in Maria's homeland back in 2014, but never saw release for the rest of the world. In the summer of this year, Maria together with the actors and director of the film Anthony Sito demonstrated their film in Hong Kong, receiving rave reviews from critics and audiences. American visitors to the festival and convention also liked “Fist of the Dragon”; critics noted the good choreography of the fights, and Maria Tran herself took the prize in the “Action by a Female Performer” category, beating Juju Chan, who played the main role in “Fist”, as well as the “action queen” herself Cynthia Rothrock, which was nominated for this nomination for the film "Battle Baby". In addition, Tran was recognized as a rising action star in the female category, giving her an award for this too.
