Well, it's time for a new selection of short films and sketches and let's start with a film that suddenly happened two years ago.
The Speed of Time
It just so happened that we followed this project, but then got lost in the flow of information.
Film "Speed of Time" is a fantasy comedy starring a professional wrestling star, stuntman and actor John Hennigan ("Boone: Bounty Hungter") with comedian Sean Marquette ("Party King").
Synopsis: Johnny must go back in time and team up with his old self to stop the Timeborgs from getting their hands on an app that is tearing apart the space-time continuum, delivering pizza back in time... it was even ordered.
The Association: Athena
Fast forward to the end of 2022 and the creative union channel Rogue Origin Films. Let us remind you that the guys are mainly engaged in filming confrontations between famous characters from media geek culture. But more and more often original videos appear on the channel, which, as before, are directed by a martial artist and stuntman Josh Maybee.
This time the team decided to release a web series based on the original script under the general title "Law Code Association". Each episode should focus on a different character in the overall narrative.
Synopsis: The Association's mysterious oath is a lifelong bond. There can be no exit from the Association without shedding blood. A person leaving a community can only earn his departure through a duel to the death.
The main roles in the film were played by stuntmen Chris Cortez и Chau Naumova.
Mind/Matter
It's been a while since we've seen anything from the creative guys on the team eunoia. And the new video was shot specifically for the competition, according to the rules of which a short film is filmed and edited in 48 hours with certain elements. To the director Stanton Chong got the following elements: object – a shovel; theme: urban legend; morality - I am what I am made of.
The main roles in this funny video were played by young Ciara Mandel and stuntman James Michalopoulus.
ANTISTALKER 2
Today in the selection is the start of another web series, this time from Russia from a stunt studio VF-STUNTMAN FILM.
This is the second part of their project "Antistalker", which was released on the guys’ channel more than ten years ago. Of course, the cult series of computer games is taken as a basis. "stalker".
In general, we are glad to be back and are already looking forward to the next episode.
Biker Ninja vs. Kung-Fu Vampires
On the channel Whirliwind Action literally on January 1, 2023, a comedy short film was released, which had been collecting dust on conventional shelves for a long time. The fact is that this video was filmed back in 2007, but the sources were damaged and the film was forgotten.
However, the guys still managed to restore some of the material and edit a video in which a biker with karate skills clears out a hive of kung fu vampires.
The following took part in the project: Micah Brock, Tim Eakley, Jacob Roark, Matt Brock, Sean Charney и Rexy Royal.
Laurus Nobilis
Fencing masters from the Czech team were featured in a new aesthetic costume short film Adorea Olomouc.
This time, their short film tells the story of a complex duel between two masters who met in mortal combat in front of a spectacle-hungry duke.
The roles of duelists were performed Petr Shishma и Jan Balic.
Wolf & Cat
We can’t ignore a short but choreographically striking video from other masters of bladed weapons from Poland.
Stuntmen Morgan Myshko и Anthony Olbrychski presented the concept of a battle between two witchers from rival schools. Of course, the prototype for the fight was the cult fantasy saga "The Witcher" Polish writer Andrzeja Sapkowski.

I only liked Eunoia (I subscribe to them), the Czechs, and not for the combat, but as a comedy short film, “The Speed of Time.” However, Hennigan is in excellent shape and knows how to do tricks.
