The difficult year 2020 is almost over. Our editorial team traditionally fails results of action films over the past year, and the voting phase will begin soon. Well, at the end of 2020, we decided to make the last selection of short films of the year.
Kyle Pilgrim VS Negakyle
In a new sketch, a stuntman and fight choreographer Kyle Murillo continues to explore the topic of computer games. Following on from the previous sketch - "Secret Boss" a video has been released that makes fun of not only video games, but also the famous comedy blockbuster "Scott Pilgrim vs. Everyone" (2010) directed by Edgar Wright.
Intercept 2020
With an interesting title "Interception 2020" performed by a team of creative associations from China Hong Xin International Pictures Production and the director personally Therese Chen.
In an underground parking lot, a courier and his employer fought over an item of interest.

Battle of Brothers
A new film has also appeared from a creative association from Australia Silver Harvest, which is famous for staging videos in the form of kung fu films from Hong Kong of the 70s of the last century.
The next work is called "Battle of Brothers" and directed it again David Vuong.
In the simplest plot, “whose kung fu is cooler?” got into a fight myself David Vuong и Andy Trieu.

Final Contact 3
The third part of the web series of former stuntman association member Jackie Chan has been released - Robert Samuels and his film production company R4Films called "Last Contact". You can watch the first episodes and spin-offs here.
Let us remember that the series is about various hired killers called upon to do their job no matter what.

Shadow Fist
Another film that Samuels made during 2020 is a declaration of love to Hong Kong cinema of the 70s called "Shadow Fist".
Robert, using his Chinese stage nickname "Bobby", played the lead role in the short film, proving that he is still in great shape. Other roles: Andre Duza и Sharif Bey.
The plot is simple: three kung fu masters of different styles fight to prove whose style is cooler.
Note! The film itself begins after three minutes of “talking” by the creators of the video.
Mayhem
Let's finish the selection with the work of a Vietnamese wing chun master and hand-to-hand combat instructor Peter Pham, from whom we are waiting for a full-length debut - "Misty Mountain".
The short film is called "Pogrom" and was filmed as an exclusive for online cinema HI-YAH!, which is exclusively associated with action cinema. It is very kind that the company Well Go USA, which owns the streaming service, posted Fama’s work online.
Peter plays a man who faces off against a group of brutal killers involved in a criminal organization known as Mayhem. The plot is simple because it's all about the fight choreography. We recommend you watch it.

Kyle Pilgrim VS Negakyle is funny, but it doesn't quite live up to Scott Pilgrim. The acting is too weak (and it’s needed here), the short film is too short, and in terms of the character, there’s nothing to see. I'll probably add it to my collection.
Intercept 2020 is so-so.
Battle of Brothers is a stylization of old kung fu films (including film), and that says it all.
Final Contact 3 is average. I can’t say anything bad, but I don’t want to praise it.
Shadow Fist is another stylization of old kung fu films. Only somehow with a touch of modernity.
Mayhem is quite good: tough, bloody, and somehow you almost believe it due to the force of the blows, although the opponents could have been less stupid.
