But in reality, everything is quite simple: since 2018, the YouTube paid platform is moving to a new software encryption model (from SVOD to AVOD), which is why it is canceling all old projects filmed for the service before the equipment was replaced.
Currently in season three "Cobra Kai" Almost filmed and only a little work left on set. However, filming was stopped due to the coronavirus outbreak. Sony Pictures TV and Google offer to find a “new home” for the series, nodding towards streaming giants like Netflix or Hulu. However, representatives of these companies have not yet responded to the proposal.

A hit sci-fi action movie from Australia "Upgrade" (2018) director Leigh Whannell should become a TV series. About this news agency Deadline stated the producer Neili Andreeva, who said that Leigh Whannell will return to the project after the equally successful release of his film "Invisible Man" 2020 year.
True, Whannell will work on television "Upgrade" exclusively as a producer and co-writer, since Lee is responsible for the remake of the cult action film Escape from New York. Also listed among the producers of the future series Tim Walsh, who is the showrunner of the action series "Treadstone", Brian Kavanaugh-Jones ("Gretel and Hansel", "Upgrade") and Jason Bloom ("Invisible Man").

He has previously said that he would love to play the role of his character's twin brother from the 2012 sequel, and in the latest messages from the aging hand-to-hand movie star, he has new ideas.
