Ip Man 3 will be shot in 3D

Resource jaynestars.com reports: recently it was announced that Donnie Yen will return as a master Ip Man in the new film “Ip Man 3” / "Ip Man 3" (Ip Man The Final Chapter / Ip Man: The Last Chapter). The plot is based on the relationship between the master and his famous student Bruce Lee. Filming should begin in 3D before the end of this year.

At the beginning of 2012, producer Raymond Wong consulted with the creators of the first two films about Ip Mane on how to make the third film more compelling. The decision was to film in 3D format. This way he will appear before the audience in a more exciting way, and the style Wing Chun will look more powerful. Wong stated: “3D will add volume to the battles. Since the film will be shot in 3D, the production budget will be higher than the previous two Ip Man films combined.”

Writing a script for “Ip Manu 3” the producer's son is engaged, Edmond Wong. The plot concept is still being developed, but Edmond admitted that we would talk about the young Bruce Lee, training under the guidance of a great master.

Actor for the role Bruce Lee haven't picked it yet. Edmond Wong said: “Perhaps we will use a foreign actor. In recent Bruce Lee films, he was played by Aarif Lee and Danny Chan. However, they are too old to play the role of 16-year-old Bruce. We must wait for director Wilson Yip’s decision.” Edmond added that the key figure in the third part will remain the master Yip Man.

Donnie Yen has already expressed his interest in the film “Ip Man 3”. One of his representatives stated: “Donny has a desire to work on the film. He has already held preliminary talks with Raymond Wong. Since Donnie hasn't seen the script yet, he doesn't know the plot details."

Since the script is currently being developed, Raymond Wong mentioned that it is not yet clear whether the character will be Ip Man elderly.

Damn, I don’t really like this idea around the relationship between Ip Man and Bruce, it would be a fairy tale... In my opinion, everyone knows the fact that Master Ip didn’t teach Bruce in particular, but was taught by one of his students, and they have a special relationship with each other there wasn’t, why invent it?! And so they made a superman out of Ip Man, they invented a lot of things, now they will also drag Bruce Lee in here, together they will “kill” the armies of the enemies of the Chinese people... and there will be a sea of ropes, I’m sure... ugh!!! Donny, come on with modern action, your time is coming too, no longer a boy!!!

The news is, of course, awesome, but what I thought was that the 3D format wouldn’t spoil the whole picture, because the director will constantly think about where to use 3D and thus can stuff the film with all sorts of spectacular scenes that can negatively affect the overall perception of the film. Still, this is Ip Man and the main thing here is high-quality fights, and everything else should be in the background, it is also very important to choose a good actor for the role of Great Bruce so that he does not overact and is in good shape. I’m not worried about Donny and Wilson, these guys are the best in Chinese cinema of this genre at the moment.

Commendable! But....If the idea is just to “raise more money”, there is a risk of failing the film and ruining your reputation (and not only for yourself). The second film, for example, was no longer brilliant with its plot, and there were much more ropes... I would like to see in the third part an equally interesting plot as in the original film, a philosophical component of martial arts and, of course, powerful, technical Wing Chun fights
