Jackie Chan began preparing for a new role

Jackie Chan and director Ding Sheng Yesterday we spent a day at the Beijing Criminal Investigation Department in order to study the principles of its work. They were shown modern equipment, fingerprinting technology, polygraph tests and provided information about psychological profiling.

Jackie expressed his admiration for the dedication and commitment with which staff work towards justice, saying that "They're really cool guys." He also mentioned that he had played Interpol agents and Hong Kong police officers, but never mainland police officers, and that day he was preparing for his new role.

Ding Sheng, filming a new film with Jackie, noted that they visited canteens, dormitories, offices, interrogation rooms and polygraph rooms, a shooting range and a gym. It was something special because they were allowed to see everything in great detail. The director also admitted that Jackie out of habit, I turned off the lights in all the bathrooms.

Apparently it's about a movie. "Police Story 2013" (Police Story 2013).

Something like a plot for PI2013 appeared:

Robbers take bar patrons hostage and demand the release of some prisoners from prison, but when the bandits are caught in the act, another kidnapping case comes to light.

I do not guarantee the authenticity of the plot. Taken from here: http://ent.sina.com.cn/m/c/2012-11-01/18293777912.shtml

Look... After all, the darlings took up POLICE STORY. Well...we'll see, let's see. While all this is controversial, but the news is good. In principle, I don’t expect anything supernatural, but the main thing is that it turns out to be a good film, which they don’t make anymore. Yesterday I rewatched EASTERN CONDORS. Great movie! And it seems to have been filmed the old fashioned way with all sorts of consequences, but how does it look!!! Now either the cables are visible even to a child’s eye, or the drunken operators have already finished it off. It became impossible to watch films.

Agree. Today's military cinema is radically worse than in the New Wave era of the 80s. Fortunately, the representatives of this era - Jackie, Sammo and others - are not giving up their positions, so we need to say a HUGE THANK YOU to them for at least two things - for the films that they created and for the fact that they still delight the audience! After all, only the figures of the New Wave, in other words, the “oldies” (although the same cannot be said about the great trinity)))) keep the Cinema Group afloat.

Somehow it seems to me that this project will not have anything to do with “Police Story” as a franchise... Most likely, this is something new...

Well, if you are taking on your main franchise, don’t let us down, Mr. Chan.
