Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith, starring in Karate Kid, spoke briefly with a Los Angeles Times reporter at the recent Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards. A short interview with journalist Amy Kaufman, who works for the Los Angeles Times, was posted on YouTube.

Amy Kaufman: I watched the video and you often demonstrate martial arts there. How long have you been training?
Jaden Smith: Three months before filming, four months during filming, and I continue to train.
