Jason Statham and Tony Jaa in the action movie "High Target"

That Jason Statham showed a desire to cooperate Tony Jaa previously reported. And there is no doubt about the Thai star’s desire to conquer Hollywood. Looks like these crowd favorites are moving from planning to action!

At the Cannes Film Festival they presented a poster for their upcoming joint project called "High Value Target"which, quite likely, in the Russian version will sound like "Particularly important goal", although in RUNet the film has already been given a title"Priority target".

According to the creators, the film will be a kind of mixture of “Black Hawk Down” and “The Raid”, and will tell about the operation against the pirates of Somalia. To achieve maximum realism, cameras will be attached to members of a special squad that will be unloaded onto a cargo ship filled with pirates to capture a particularly important target - the pirate leader.

No land. No help. No hope.

According to the poster, except Jason Statham и Tony Jaa, the film will star Tomer Sisle (Largo Winch, Labyrinths), and Diego Boneta (Rock of Ages, Eden).
According to unverified reports, the film is scheduled to be released on 7 September 2016 year.

Let's cross our fingers that this will be a fruitful collaboration and an interesting film awaits us. We will monitor news on this project.

In this genre, the main thing is “action”. If the action scenes are staged at a high level (Ong Bak, Raid), then everything else is a bonus. On the contrary, if there is a twisted plot, but a failure in the action, then we’ll watch it, be disappointed and forget.

In one of the most gorgeous action series, “Banshee,” they were just making a combat series to capture a base with a view from first-person cameras. This was the worst episode of the season. Don't do this guys!

      AndBeast,

It was certainly unusual, but, IMHO, not a failure at all

Considering the presence of video cameras on the participants in the hijacking of the ship, there will definitely not be normal fights

Never mind, special forces are not special forces. A good action movie doesn't need a complex plot. Moreover, an overly complex plot slows down the action. Let the plot be simple and unoriginal, the main thing is strong action, stunts, charismatic characters, and a couple of striking lines. This is quite enough.

      electricity,

Some don't care, some don't. This topic with special forces is an old corporate joke. Celpaso and Jaidev are aware)

Yes, I too, in general, am aware. I’ve been reading the site for a long time, and so have the comments.
I meant that special forces in the plot are neither good nor bad in themselves. It's just a genre variety. And you can do it cool. But you can - as always. It all depends on who will do the combat.

I will give a percentage of my participation in the film if they lead me to Tony Jaa and Statham, or their agents!
There is a plot-driven adventure comedy story about an eccentric antique collector, his obnoxious and even more eccentric children, and a golden-hearted man willing to travel hundreds of kilometers in order to give away the most precious thing he has... for now.
Strange right? Not to take, but on the contrary...to give.

    This will be a movie!!!
Otherwise... special forces, gangsters, mafia, Basmachi..... all this is already sitting in the liver. And with the above film, will Statham take (as he recently said) the action genre to a new level? Hmm.... However...

Aaaand again my favorite special forces, yes! Yeah baby! More, more special forces! After all, no one has ever made action films about special forces! OOOeeee.
Guard, guys. It's just a guard.

Well... some write that this is not special forces, but an international group of mercenaries. So kosher?)

        barsug,

We all understand what is hidden under the kosher mask of a group of mercenaries.
