Donnie Yen was offered a role in the film “The Expendables 2”

Resource twitchfilm.com with reference to news.on.cc reports: Donnie Yen, who visited the USA with his family over the weekend, was invited to dinner by the producer Ave Lerner. The news says that Lerner proposed Jena role in the sequel “The Expendables”, which is set to begin filming this October.

Representative of the company Jena confirmed the fact that such an offer had indeed been received, and continued by saying that he might be interested in “The Expendables 2”, but he is currently busy choosing a project from a number of proposals, so he will not make a final decision until he decides whether he is satisfied with the script or not.

Jackie died three times, as Evil said, from being punched by Bruce Lee, in one film in a non-leading role before his stellar career began in the 70s, and in the recent thriller "The Shinjuku Incident." This is what I know. And he also has 2 erotic scenes))

Why are people arguing here if there is a 2nd part, like the first there won’t be any battles there...
    only explosions and shootings...
Jet Li didn't stand out at all...it will be the same with Donnie...just another big name for the film...

Nobody died there. You confused Hungg with Biao, but he just pretended to die.

Oh thank you, I really forgot(

It's a pity, but most likely Ian will be given a stupid role. For example, I didn’t like Jet at all in the first part.

The main thing is that there is no shame, like Richard Norton in Iron Heart.

By the way, there was a film from 2008, it was called “The Legend of the Twin Dragons.” This is a compilation from the series. Sammo and Yuen Biao played two old teachers, and so, the hero Sammo died there, but from illness, and not in a hellish duel with a villain.

After being hit by Bruce in Enter the Dragon

wahhaha, he didn’t seem to die there, although he felt pretty much like Bruce, as he himself said in the book.

Oh, and Sammo was shot in Death Step.

    Author's gravatar

SO how many times did Jackie die, the main question??

After Bruce's blow in "Enter the Dragon" :)

Thanks for the answers, my fish! I also refreshed my memory. By the way, there was a film from 2008, it was called “The Legend of the Twin Dragons.” This is a compilation from the series. And Donnie Yen “died” for the first time before my eyes in the film “Fire Cheetah.” Even though he didn’t have the main role, and the film was shot in Malaysia for 10 pies with snake meat, Donnie simply gave it his all!

Never mind. Jet may have better projects.

    Damn((((((((((((((upset)

The same source reported that Jet Li will definitely not star in the second part.

Sammo died in Ip Man 2... And in Island of Fire. Exactly twice? Damn, I've been getting confused lately...

Jet died in "Warlords" and in the movie "Ocean's Paradise"

If Donnie is a villain, he will be killed, just like Harry Daniels. This will be his fourth on-screen death. Question for the experts: how many times have Jackie Chan, Sammo Hungg and Jet Li died on screen?

Just off the top of my head, Jackie died in the Hand of Death once, Fire Island twice, but I don’t remember more, but in the old ones before the 80s he died again.

Jackie Chan seems to have died once, and Sammo Hungg died twice in my memory... I don’t know about Jet

It seems to me that even Jackie Chan with his tricks could have diversified this film a little... =)

The only chance is if Sly tries very hard to persuade Jackie, as we know they have a long, friendly relationship, that’s what could work.

    Author's gravatar

If there was even the slightest chance of inviting Jackie, he would have already been invited. It's all about Mr. Hong Kong himself. Jackie is original, he is the King of Action. he has his own Jackie Chan genre. It is unlikely that he is interested in this project to participate in it. Although I don’t imagine him in such a film, he is the “last pearl” who did not take part. (as we know, the ZhKVD has already accepted the proposal).

Of course, I have nothing against Donny, and I defend him as an excellent actor, but in my opinion, Jackie deserves a much bigger role in The Expendables

    Author's gravatar

Damn, Donnie is cool, of course, but without Jet my interest will greatly disappear ((

    Author's gravatar

    I hope Jet will too.

    Author's gravatar

Will Jet be in the film???

    Author's gravatar

If so, then I will definitely watch the movie! If he's there! Donny is our everything! And I really want him to star in Wilson Yip's Wisely.

    Author's gravatar

Maybe Donnie will be called instead of Jet.

    Author's gravatar

Yes Yes Yes Yes!!!! Yen in the sequel, who will be a worthy opponent for Jet Li??? This is truly the climax of the episode, where the stars of the Action genre play the “last” loud chord.

I know, SerYoga, it’s just that the original said October.

filming is set to begin in October this year.

A recent interview with Ave Lerner, one of the film's producers, talks about September 19th.
