Rough script for The B-Team

A new film is set to be produced in Papua New Guinea called "The B-Team". The producers decided to invite famous “B” category action movie heroes to play the main roles: Don "Dragon" Wilson, Michael Dudikoff, Cynthia Rothrock и Jeff Speakman. The creators hope that they will give their consent to filming in minor roles Richard Norton, Mark Dacascos, Billy Blanks, Jerry Trimble и Lauren Avedon.

Don Wilson in a recent interview he shared some details:

There are a lot of bad guys and good guys in the film, there is a place in it for anyone who gets the opportunity. The leading actors, whose names I have listed, will remain in Papua New Guinea until filming is completed, and the rest will film for several days: they arrived, filmed, and left. There is a lot of action in the film, and our plans are to involve as many actors as possible. I literally know every one of them!

Early draft of the script:

In Papua New Guinea, far from Port Moresby, rise the awe-inspiring volcanic ridges of the Rabaul Caldera. This ancient and beautiful place has its own intriguing and turbulent history. Deep in the jungle/forests at the base of Rabaul, a team of archaeologists are excavating the remains of an ancient, highly advanced civilization. Among the amazing relics found, a mysterious amulet is discovered, which, according to legend, must contain the secrets of long-forgotten technologies. These secrets could threaten the safety of the entire planet. Until this time, the amulet was considered lost forever.

When world powers learn of this discovery, gangster groups from all over the world race to get the amulet, since the owner of its secrets can gain the greatest power. The Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea asks the President of the United States to send an elite team of operatives to return the amulet to its rightful place. Having responded to help, the president sends two teams at once: the main and reserve, consisting of action heroes (Wilson, Rothrock and others). They arrive in Papua New Guinea ostensibly to film an action movie, although in reality their goal is to return the amulet. They are the B team and this is their story.

To reinforce the “legend,” team members take their families with them. While the crew risks their lives, their families discover the incredible beauty of Papua New Guinea. Carrying out various tasks, going through chases, battles, a series of successes and failures, hikes in the jungle, the heroes, under the guise of filming a film, are approaching their goal. While the elite team distracts the attention of bandits, etc., Team B achieves significant success in its mission.

Rothrock and Wilson are planning another joint project. The film does not yet have a title, but it has been revealed that it will begin filming in March next year.

Personally, I think that this whole Guinness World Records thing is pure PR. It was easy to add a few dozen more mentions in the credits: the cleaner picked up a cigarette butt, moved the props from place to place - the loader, sewed on a button - the costume designer, combed the actor's hair - the makeup artist/make-up artist, pushed the camera a couple of times - the sharecropper, kicked the cable into side - cable guy, etc. :)

It’s strange why he is not listed as a casting director, because he was 100% involved in the selection of actors and approved their candidacies.

    - “Name at least one better film over the past eight years. As for me, it’s a good farewell benefit. He really did the best he could. And it’s not his fault that he’s simply not able to repeat the first “Armor of God.”

I partially agree with the statement. Why partially?
It's not about Jackie himself that he's almost 60 and doesn't move well. Nonsense!!! he moves great. And the fight with the guards at the fake base proved this. And in one shot he worked so quickly with his hands, I was shocked myself.
It's not a matter of technique. It's in the script.
Let me give you an example with the legendary roof in the French castle.
In the film, he finds himself on the roof, then he sees that someone is supposedly running after him and Jackie is one, two, three and below. He jumped up and down, mentally saying, well, I’m Jackie Chan! I'm still cool!
Well, it doesn't catch on! Do you agree???
Here's my version of what's happening:
The hero is being chased! Where to run? No exit! Through the stove, onto the roof.
I crawled out of the chimney covered in soot, and then there were shots! Bang bang! While dodging, Jackie almost fell down, as he was carried right to the edge of the roof. He saw the tiny people below him. My head started spinning. He leaned back with difficulty. Then the shots began to pursue him even more and someone else from the security climbed onto the roof. There is only one way - down!
The intrusive guard catches up with him. Jackie bam bam in the nose. He's out. Turning around and preparing to run further, Jackie discovers a black face in front of her. Jackie raised his fist to hit, but saw that it turned out to be a chimney sweep. Holding his frightened heart, he ran on. It was necessary to move down. And he began to move. When suddenly one of the guards climbed out of the window. Jackie bam bam to him. I tried to climb back into the castle window, but was just about to do it when I saw the dogs’ faces in front of me! Aaaaah!!! And down again!
Jumped off. And he says - Well, how about Catch up! Weak? A second later these dogs were already running after him.
Oh oh!!! We need to get out!

And then there is a scene in the labyrinth.

Agree that it is interesting, funny and truly moving. And no superpowers are required here! Just the screenwriter's imagination!!!

And EvilDollaR was right when he said - SEVEN THINGS DO NOT TAKE IN ONE HANDS! This was the main reason for the lack of UH ideas!

Guys, today I watched Armor of God 3, or rather the first half hour, and turned it off. Very upset =( But my entire collection of films literally grew up watching his films in the early 90s.

Jackie held 15 positions in DB3 and was included in the Guinness book

Apparently, Jackie didn’t know about the proverb “you can’t handle seven things in one hand”...

Jaidev Jackie held 15 positions in DB3 and was included in the Guinness book, how could he make such a picture??? He was a director and screenwriter. He perfectly understands the success of his best and the failure of his worst films. Well, yes, the film has earned 165 rubles at the moment, but this is Jackie, he never chased cabbage, where is Jackie Chan's level? This is a film for an audience of 6-16 years old, and it was at that age that we fell in love with it, but apparently the film was aimed at them and they forgot about us. I wasn't even so upset by The Hobbit...

If they don't fight like in Close Combat, the movie will fail. If desired, each actor can conduct a one-minute fight, at least showing 5-7 blows.

    Lindolion:
When I watched this film in the cinema, I simply turned off my brain. Otherwise, I would have thrown rotten tomatoes at the screen, expecting something incredible from the film. You just need to sit back and watch.
At its core, the film is good and differs positively from much that is produced in the film world. The main problem of the ZODIAC is a very weak script. The fact that Jackie wrote it for 7 years also seems strange...! Very strange.

By the way, one of the actors (Lauren Avedon) has three favorite modern movie kickers: Tony Jaa, Scott Adkins and Donnie Yen. Well, in his opinion, the ones who hit the hardest are J. J. Perry (in training) and Billy Blanks (on the set, if he hits with his foot, his eyes go dark). His favorites from the "old guard" are Bruce Lee and Hwang Zhang Lee.

PS Today is Cynthia’s birthday, so I congratulate her on a double holiday. And, of course, all dear visitors of the fair sex! Happy March 8th! :)

If there is such a cast of heroes, then it will be comparable to The Expendables. It would have been great to film everything.

If even The Expendables (with class A actors of THOSE times) turned out to be quite average in quality, then B-Tim... I wouldn’t be surprised that even against the backdrop of class B action films they will look average.

I would rather watch these old men in the films of today's DTV stars. Let's say Trimble looked very good together with Austin, Lundgren and Shahlavi. Berndhart did a great job in Parker.

I would love to see Dacascos or Daniels in Adkins or White films.

PS By the way, Berndhart starred in a small role in the sequel to The Hungger Games, and Norton (if I understood his interview correctly) starred in the remake of Mad Max starring Tom Hardy.

But in my opinion, the plot is quite interesting, a kind of film within a film, especially since the special forces are not the main characters. If you try hard, you can make a colorful action adventure film.

If the commandos don't come to the fore, an action-adventure title might hold some promise. Here I agree.
Now the choice is up to a smart director and cameraman.

I was just happy... the amulet... the jungle... archaeologists... adventures... And then those times - a team of operatives and militants! Plus the president was also dragged in. Why not aliens from all over the universe! Why can’t producers live without special forces and other nonsense???!!! How much of a hassle this has already caused!
