Kazuya Shiraishi will soon debut on Netflix with the upcoming series "Queen of Villains” . For now, the director, known for his film "Blood of a Lone Wolf” , returns with a new project - "11 Rebels” (11 Rebels), which became one of the bright premieres of last year at AFM under the auspices of Toei.
The script was written Junya Ikegami, known for "Blood of a lone wolf” , based on a draft Kazuo Kasahara, the creator of the scripts for the yakuza saga "Battles without honor and humanity” and other classic films.
Action "11 Rebels” takes place in 1868, during the Boshin War, when Echigo's domain in Shibata is threatened and 11 prisoners are given a chance at freedom in exchange for protecting the fortress.
Starring: Sadao Abe, Takayuki Yamada, Taiga Nakao и Hiroshi Tamaki and others.
The film will premiere in Japan on November 1.
